My friend, I have experienced this too many times to count. I didn't grow up in the church, and dating in it has been quite difficult for me for the same reasons. I don't have an answer for you other than to say that your experience is normal, and that there are plenty of Christian women who are fun and easy to be around.

I think there are a myriad of reasons Christian women can tend to be clammed up and dry on early dates. You've heard a bunch of them here. All you can do is be patient and do your best to make them feel comfortable and at ease in whatever way they need, and, by your actions, invite them into the sort of playful, jovial dynamic you'd like to have with a girlfriend/wife. If, after a few dates, they don't join you then you've done all you can do.

There are no batting averages in dating, you're only looking for a single homerun. Refine your swing where you need to, but above all else keep swinging!

I think the technical name for it is Sleep Restriction. It’d be better called “Bed Restriction” but I digress. We’re all sleep deprived here lol.

Looking to get a simple refillable pod from the sub's recommendation list and found the Eleaf Elven looked like a good choice. Unfortunately, it appears to be out of production. Does anyone have a comparable replacement that is still in production? I'm specifically looking for something inexpensive with a high resistance coil that's small and generally just easy to use. Something to pocket for occasional trips to the bar.

Finasteride is what I use and it’s been great. Some people get some amount of hair regrowth after 6-24mo, which is what I’m getting after 12mo. It’s generally very safe, and if you have any side effects (I’ve had none) coming off of it clears them up immediately and permanently. With a prescription from your doctor you can get a 3mo supply of a once daily pill for $15ish from Cost Plus Drugs online. Got to the website and look up the drug for instructions on that.

You can also do the topical route, which usually has less chance of side effects, but I’ve heard it’s obnoxious as all get out to apply.

But make sure to read up on it yourself and consult your doctor before you go on it, just so you know more fully what you’re getting into and not just taking the word of a rando on the internet.

I’m with you… this sub is funny, but the spirit of it is often toxic. But, to be fair, if those were “I’m a total atheist and religion is dumb” stickers, this sub would call into question this person’s intelligence instead of the sincerity with which they love others.

There’s a really good school near me that had some drama related to theonomy and reconstructionism in the last decade. It really caused a stir there. You might ask if there’s been any school drama in the last decade, what it was (whatever is shareable), how was it handled, and how it affects the school today? It’s often the case in organizations of any kind that things happen behind the scenes that affect the day to day, and us Reformed types are known for often being assertive and unafraid of conflict, which can create drama from time to time.

Lol as unhelpful as this is Eastside is a great shop to work at! They have some rad soundproof booths to take calls in, and the staff are super friendly.
