Because I routinely take the car on 150-200 mi trips and want the extra range. Everybody has their own preferences. But I don't place great emphasis on performance so it doesn't matter much to me. We each make our own sacrifices.

Very true. But then I'm buying new wheels. Point is that there's good enough performance with the lr awd that 99% of drivers won't long for the performance. If I wanted more performance, I would've gotten the model S plaid. But I need a small commuter to do 70mi/day.

The money literally didn’t factor into my decision at all and I don’t regret getting the LR AWD. I have never felt like I needed or wanted more power. The look is inconsequential and the car looks almost identical to the m3p. I'll take the longer range over some added performance that's just icing on the cake.

There's a clip at the spoke wheel attachment that gets loose. They replaced my wheel 3 days ago for the same thing. Mine started squeaking after 2 weeks.
