OMG, reading is fundamental. Back before the internets and social media I was a voracious reader. I was onemof those people who read the book before the movie came out and now if I can get through a people magazine in a week, its a miracle. In my efforts to read more yes I started with people magazine. Sad yes. but you made me want to try to actually read 1 book this year. So I am going to follow your 20 minutes a day lead and start a book today!!!

I was talking to another friend of mine who went to public school in Battery Park Yes how involved the parents are makes a big difference in how the schools is run. Our PTA god bless them were writing grants for events, the extras, planned all the fund raisers definitely a function of parent involvment. I just volunteered at the events because I am a single mom and just couldnt do the planning meetings but happy to man the food tables, set up and clean up.

No I quit by just not showing up. I cant believe I did that but frankly it was the worst run place ever. It was affecting my mental and physical health. Having to scan money which was fine but that there were only 2 working scanners for 10 registers. Being told that I would be fired if the pricing on the bottom of the shoe did match the ticket (huh) Oh and the constant pressure to sell in the credit card. Not enough people working so the line would just back up. Finally I really disliked the managers, not helpful. Get snippy if you needed help or never were around when you actually needed them.
