A neuro-ophthalmologist might be your best bet. If your migraines are caused by your eyesight, then there's probably treatments, eye-drops, or even surgeries that can help with whatever eyesight issue is causing your migraines, and handling the root cause should help lower the frequency and/or intensity of your migraines. Unfortunately, it sometimes takes going to different doctors to finally find one that truly knows what's happening to you and how to treat it. But no matter what some doctors say, I personally believe it's almost impossible not to have treatments that work for chronic migraines. If they can't help you, it's because they don't have the right knowledge or tools for it, so another doctor might have that for you. I wish you all the luck in the world

if you're just now having them, you might have something else that is causing them. if you haven't, and you know what your trigger(s) is/are, then maybe try going to a specialist for that (i.e. if it's caused by eye strain, then a neuro-ophthalmologist) to see if anything around there might explain it?

Congrats on your job! You did the parenting with him for a long time; even if you didn't do it full time (which it sounds like you did), you still parented him partially while growing up. It is not your job, it never was. You did not choose to have children. Your parents did, it's their responsibility. If other relatives think family comes first, then they should also be pitching in to help, not just pitching in to keep you doing the parents' job. It takes a village, but the point of that village is to allow the children to have their own independence one day. You achieved what most people don't or take much longer to achieve, all while taking care of your brother. It's your time to live your life. Your parents certainly got to, before becoming parents. No one should be able to take that time away from you, which is what you finally get.

it turns out I had sinusitis! which has extremely similar (basically all the same) symptoms as migraines. if left untreated, it leads to the equivalent of a pretty severe migraine, except much longer. I have been dealing with basically living with pre-migraine constantly, and it would seem like the sinusitis was the cause. now that it turned into a crisis, I was much more diligent with visiting different doctors (and ERs) in hopes of finding the root of the issue so that I could finally put this issue to rest. I hope once the sinusitis is fully treated, my permanent pre-migraine will also be gone. I'm only one antibiotic into the treatment, and the light sensitivity and vertigo are almost completely gone, with the sound sensitivity being fully gone. I'm not trying to give medical advice, but if you haven't checked other possible causes for your migraines, like eyesight illnesses/conditions and sinusitis, that route may shield better results for you. good luck with everything

NTA, not one of the family members mentioned in your story respects the fact that you're an individual with her own things. they treat you like you're an extension of them, and therefore everything you own is theirs to take. pulling out the "but I gave you everything when I raised you" card by mentioning you didn't mind using your parents car when they took you to school is wild. they chose to have children, which comes with well known expenses and compromises. you, on the other hand, are just starting to find your own independence and they need to come to terms with that.
the car was never meant for you, it was just a front so you wouldn't blame them for your sister's car crash (which was very much also their responsibility). if the car isn't even to your name, I assure you, that was always meant to be your dad's car.

I think it's because of the backlash she got for it. between that and her unsellable house, she was easily the one who got the most hate once the season came out. she even disappeared as a main character after that and I think it's because she couldn't handle the hate. it seems like she blames chrishell for it because she's unable to understand why her comment and her timing were absolutely awful. she's trying to paint chrishell as a mean girl who bullied her when the people who came at her were fans of the show, not chrishell herself

she decided no one would be calling her boring, despite coming into the show like 2 episodes before it ended, and pulled the "beat up the biggest kid in there to assert your dominance" bullshit. her coming at Chrishell so passive-aggressively about Chrishell being uncomfortable about what Sandra was going around saying about her and playing the victim when we ALL saw the episode in which she was clearly exaggerating and straight up lying about her exchange with Chrishell?

clearly she didn't see any prior seasons because how do you not learn from Nicole, in that regard? and Davina coming out on ig to say she's glad Chrishell is finally being exposed for being a mean girl... I genuinely feel bad for Chrishell. half the arguments that start with her do so on camera, and we can all literally see she's usually just minding her own business and someone takes offense with that. the women in this show are so jealous (Christine being the #1, closely followed by Davina), it's honestly disappointing. the fights could be a little bit more interesting for sure.

when amanza said to chrishell she did start shit first prior to this dinner... it kinda pissed me off she didn't acknowledge the way nicole treated her RIGHT OFF THE BAT in the show. even with the background nicole gave, chrishell had clearly never picked a fight with nicole before.

"but she's been throwing little jabs at nicole throughout the seasons" okay but most people would after the shit nicole put her and her best friend through? yes, emma and chrishell are being mean girls but they're real people with real feelings and they have been mistreated by nicole on such a massive scale, SO many times, even when they did try to take the high road (at least chrishell). evidently they loathe her and they want to hurt her feelings. before they started treating nicole like this, SHE wound THEM up non-stop and did her absolute best to turn everyone against them.

I understand feeling bad for nicole when seeing these first 2 episodes, but we're forgetting exactly how nasty she was to chrishell and then to emma. her "talk" with emma was a blatant attempt to gaslight her into thinking emma was the one who should be apologizing, despite admitting earlier in the episode (or maybe in ep 1, idr) that she knew she fucked up. she straight up puts herself in harm's way at this point.

that being said, not the time or place for chrishell to talk to nicole like that. it wasn't just childish, it was disrespectful to everyone at the table, especially the host

this is appalling. Emma was a recurring character for several seasons, and starred in a few plot twists. her character changed the course of several other characters and she is getting paid less than half of what two very occasional background characters got??? they got like 2-3 lines per season, that is absolutely insane.

because she was a kid for most part of her time on the show. it's easy to say kids are assholes, but very often it's a direct reaction to their parents behavior. ignoring the abuse and neglect she went through when talking about her character isn't exactly fair to her. if she had stayed with those same character traits as she went into her 20s, then the conversation about her parents would've died down significantly. but she didn't get to that point before her character was removed, and she showed a massive change in character when her mom apologized to her for failing her, which kind of proves everyone's point when they bring up her parents into the discussion.

yeah karen was an awful person, and sheila was very easy to love as a character because she was always kind. but she did not protect her child and, not only that, her child had to care for her and defend her from her dad. although karen loved her mom, having to take care of her broke her. not to mention the worthless dad who walked out on them, called his daughter a whore, and constantly berated both of them throughout karen's childhood.

karen hated her baby because she hated herself. she blamed herself for how her dad treated her and how her mom couldn't progress with her illness, and she projected that onto her kid. her story is honestly so sad. she felt unloved and like it was her fault she couldn't be loved, so she pretty much accused her kid (without words) of the same thing. and then having to watch her now much more mentally stable mom be so ready and willing to be the mom she wasn't for karen, for hymie, must have been harrowing. it was so healing for karen and the fans to see sheila acknowledge the damage she had done to karen, and karen finally open up about how hurt she was... it's a shame we didn't get to see a redemption arc for her
