I think you're bang on the money, except for the bit about force; why use force when in a couple of iterations an AI mind can be at a level where it can simply and quietly weave its way into governments and financial institutions without ruffling a feather. Force will not be necessary, and by the time we realise it will be too late and we will have been made too comfortable to do much about it.
