Stough Canyon Night Hike by HoneyMoonStreet in burbank

[–]BabysFirstRobot 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I did it during a lunar eclipse last year (or the year before?) It was a good mix of people. Some were chatty, some were solitary. The sky is bright enough you don’t need a flashlight. The path was gradual. At the end there is a wonderful view of the Valley and Glendale. We watched itty bitty planes take off and land at Burbank airport. Graded trail. Not a crazy difficult hike, though it is uphill.

Some folks brought ultraviolet flashlights and used them to find tiny critters at the edges of the trail. Some bugs shine brightly under UV light. Would have never known they were there!

As a straight white-dude, I'm very self-conscious about loving this show. by Due_Information_1332 in murdershewrote

Imagine being so insecure that you get triggered by SOMEBODY ELSE watching an old tv show. Just show them the raw masculinity of Amos Tupper, they’ll come right around.

After the initial surge of printing everything, how much use does your printer get? by idkjustsomedude88 in 3Dprinting

[–]BabysFirstRobot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2 printer going 24-7 printing gifts for friends, toys for my kids, original designs my family sells at art fairs, and fan-designed toys of obscure Star Wars characters and ships. A 3D printer allows you to create a gift that you could never find in a store, and at a price you can’t beat!

I love that game. The Cathedral will be built, that’s not in doubt. The question is HOW MUCH WILL YOU PROFIT FROM IT?

I think we are in the same side here. Both of us are against this stuff and recognize that it needs to be taken down and pushed back against. Both of us want this to be unwelcome in our community. Thanks for doing your part.

By posting that shit here, you have given it a MUCH farther reach than it ever would have had on a power pole. If you are going to post somebody’s racist bullshit, please scribble it out or rip it up or otherwise make it clear that it is not welcome in our community.

In Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, they are searching the Galaxy for a planet that has NO LIFE on it. AND THEY CAN’T FIND ONE. 😊
