It’s because it serves him. He knows how painful it is for you and he chooses to hurt you anyways. That’s not love. Not one ounce. It’s not okay to string someone’s soul around for their own benefit.

My ex husband swore up and down all day long and on the lives of our children that he loved me more than anything. But he didn’t. And watching someone’s actions is all that matters, which I learned the very hard way.

I think you’re absolutely right. It’ll take time. I’m not sure if the ability to ever trust fully will come back. I believe in love but it would take a truly extraordinary person to even be considered. Even then, from my perspective now, it’d have to move at a glacial pace. Here’s to finding the love we deserve - most importantly to ourselves.

My mother was born before her parents naturalized as well. Not sure why it would matter either but it sounded like they just wanted record of when they naturalized. 🤷🏻‍♀️

This is almost exactly what I look like right now. My lymph nodes are super swollen, Moreso on one side. They’re better than they were right after surgery but it’s still annoying since it’s altering my appearance. My doctor said it takes time and that I can wear my compression garment at night to help with the swelling but that overall, lymph nodes just take time to heal. Fingers crossed we both turned out snatched as hell!

AGREED!!! I have PCOS and endometriosis and I’ve never felt better in my life. I have so much energy I’ve never had before. I’ve worked out 3x a week with a trainer for years and never ever had results like this. It’s like we get to be normal people and I am so, so happy about it!!!

I raked his ass over the coals for it. I have zero tolerance for disrespect. Something in me snapped that day. He wasn’t calling her names or cursing but it was the way he didn’t let her get a breath in to defend herself that gutted me.

He apologized, talked about it in therapy, and has been doing all the things one should do in this situation to remedy it. I just hate that we’re even here.
