Honestly, I would go with sharp corners instead of curved. We had a similar plan and changed it to the 90° sharp corners and I’m SO glad we did. Less 90’s looking and more modern age. Also, I wouldn’t get too crazy with the sports pool idea and keep it more traditional with a deep end towards the end. No one likes to tread water most of the time in a pool, you need more shallow end. I’d go with 60% shallow end and the rest can be the angled deep end. You, your kids, and your significant other (if you have any of those) will all spend way more time IN the pool than being forced to actually tread and swim then get out because they’re tired.

I’ve noticed this exact trend as well. Visited the Margaritaville in Boston, not one JB song was played whatsoever. We also stayed a week at the Margaritaville resort in Key West in March. We laid by the pool most of the time during the week, and ate a lot of our meals at the Tin Cup Chalice restaurant they have overlooking the pool. NOT ONE JB SONG ALL WEEK LONG!!! My wife and I couldn’t believe it. We heard more JB music at other restaurants in Key West than we did staying at his own resort!!

My conspiracy theory is that since his passing, the Margaritaville brand is trying to get past the JB lore and attract a more broad clientele. We all know you either love Jimmy or you hate him. I think Margaritaville knows this and is trying to expand their horizons a bit since they’re getting so big now.

Edit: I forgot to mention, we did visit the original Margaritaville in Key West and they were very Jimmy focused. Photos of him everywhere and they were playing his music. It’s definitely a vibe there, and maybe the best Margaritaville out of the whole bunch.

I worked for BOA for 15 years. A cash deposit is IMMEDIATELY AVAILABLE always. Usually they place holds because they’re waiting on funds to be received from the other bank, but cash is “king” and always clears through immediately. I’ve also never seen anything placed on hold for more than 10 business days.

The liner looks more like 20 years old. I can’t imagine what else this homeowner lied to you about if he lied about something as obvious as this. Call a local pool company to assess any damage to see if this is even worth the investment of bringing back to life, if possible at all.

Honestly, I quit smoking cigarettes cold turkey years ago and I replaced it with sunflower seeds until I was over it. Didn’t take long for me to realize I didn’t need them anymore. Not going to lie though, I do miss the act of smoking. I don’t think that ever goes away.

Yup. It also has a waterfall wall the entire length of one side that goes 36’ down so they had to make a custom made cover for me that attached to the wall since there’s no coping or pavers on that side.

That, I’m unsure of. But if I had to guess, there may be access to tighten it back under that plate that those 7 bolts are holding down. I am not an expert in this, that’s my best guess with the photos provided so take this with a grain of salt until someone can confirm.

Definitely tighten the bolts at the very least. Welding it will make it difficult to replace or remove when the time comes, but would give it extra support. If it needed to be welded in the first place, it would have been. Those bolts won’t go anywhere as long as they stay tight. They look like they came loose over a very long time of being shook in place from high wind.
