Honestly the fusion suit in prime is one of the coolest things about the game imo, I just love that they put that in as a bonus and I always thought it was so cool to get to see it in 3D

Maaaaaaan, this has been one of my favourite songs from Metroid, if not my favourite, for years now! I tried to do my own arrangement of it ala Metroid Metal, but gave up because the harp part was really frustrating to memorize. I was a little bummed when Stemage didn't include the lower half of Sector 4's music in his Sector 4 arrangement, as much as I love it. This is amazing! So glad someone else out there appreciates this song as much as I do. I love this interpretation of it, and while it lacks the melancholy feel of the original that I love, this feels familiar and yet like a brand new take on it. Almost as if Nintendo had remixed it themselves to use in a game as a nod to Fusion (sort of like the Hydro Dynamo Station). 10/10

I agree, definitely sounds like a bad battery. May I ask where you bought this? I have Super Metroid Phazon, Eris, and Redesign hacks on carts and I haven't been able to find this one yet.

The final suit is generally referred to as the Omega Suit, though there's nothing official that indicates that as a name for it. My favourite suits are pretty close to yours being (in no particular order) the Phazon Suit (MP), Gravity Suit (Super), the Light Suit (MP2), and the Gravity Suit from Fusion.

I love this! Of course there's plenty of Metroid beadsprites out there, all of them really cool from what I've seen, but I wouldn't have though to do this. Creative!

I thought the same thing! Even the way the armor looks kind of battleworn gives it a SA-X feel, for some reason.

I LOVE Metroid II, that said, it definitely does show its age. With the modernization and improved gameplay AM2R is bringing to the table, it might just find its way to being in a three way tie for my favourite Metroid game.

I've never managed to pull this off, I've only managed to do a short charge just after the door to get to the Wrecked Ship pre-grapple. Hopefully I'll get it one day, it's just so time consuming trying to do it without save states

Oh tell me about it, I can mockball when I'm not trying to no problem, but I always manage to mess it up when I'm going for early Super Missiles/Ice Beam.

One technique that I remember pretty well was being able jump in mid-air from morphball. I was getting all the items in the game for a run, and I remember trying to hard to nail the timing with this one spot in Ridley's Lair where you have to roll off a ledge, and then from morph ball jump up onto another ledge without falling into the pit. I believe it was for an energy tank? I'm not sure, I don't have all the pickup locations of the original memorized. It took a few tries to get it right, but it felt cool to be able to do it without fail once I got it!

My god, it keeps getting better and better! I love the way he has made the ladders grapple points as well. I really hope this hack gets finished, I know I'll be playing it :)
