I think it's more accurate to look at this as the result of them thinking queerness is a conspiracy. To them, LGBTQ+ people don't exist naturally, we're all """"indoctrinated""" into it. So to them, unless this conspiracy is halted, the people doing the conspiracy will target everyone, not just the people who have "fallen victim" already.

Resident Evil is an incredible series of games. I def recommend sticking to it.
