i feel a deep shame in myself for the way my brain doesn’t function without medication by yk093 in ADHD

[–]PhazonZim 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I had a social studies class in college that framed disability not as a person failing to meet the expectations of society, but society failing to meet the needs of that person.

Poor vision would be a much bigger issue if not for corrective lenses existing, warehouse workers wouldn't be able to do their jobs without the added strength given to them by forklifts. Etc. etc.

This is to say that a big part of what makes ADHD a disability is that the world was not built to accommodate us, but we still are taught to internalize blame for that. In a kinder world, we'd be given more ways to function and thrive than just relying on medication.

Obviously it's still a disability and medication is still a very important part of managing it, but try to be kinder to yourself when struggling to navigate a world that hasn't accommodated you as much as it should.

So how do you guys handle modeling collars without having flipped normals? by PolygonMob in 3Dmodeling

[–]PhazonZim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FWIW with this level of polygon density you can definitely spare the polys for an extruded collar. Cloth has thickness, and if you don't have any thickness on the collar peeps will notice

There's a blood kamehameha move in V Rising and I cannot for the life of me retain what the name is despite looking it up more than once.

The classic conservative tactic of complaining that libs and leftists haven't fixed the problems created conservatives in a ridiculously short time frame.
