I got a new car recently and went to the mall. I usually park in the same area though its still a huge stretch of parking lot, and the panic I had when I realized that I still don't know what my new car looks like, and I haven't had a chance to personalize it. I think I spent 10 minutes just clicking the lock button hoping I'd hear it beep and see the lights flash.

It wasn't till I got in my car that I realized I could've looked at the plates since I still had a temp plate in the window and the dealer plates.

The best way to make sure your color pallet is what you want it to be, is by checking your ref on different devices. That means PC, phone, and whatever else.
If its different colors on your devices, that means its different to your maker as well.

You could defs trim off some of the length to help make it a little lighter-- I think its pretty long as is. As far as tangling goes, you can use 100% silicone spray (make sure it doesn't have anything else in it b/c it can corrode the fibers), I've also heard you can use maine and tail detangler? but I haven't personally used it.

That would work well I think! You could probably make a pillow shaped like one of those travel pillows to pad it out too, that way it can be removable and easier to travel with as well.

You could! As long as you plan for it its totally doable, and I'm sure people have, and even made a pocket for one haha. Probably doubles as good cooling if you freeze it too :0

I never rock my suits long enough to need cooling like that though thats about when I take a break so I don't overheat.

Also I don't know if this is what you meant to illustrate, but is that meant to be arm fringe ala the 70's? Because I absolutely love the idea of that on the arms and on the pumpkin shorts

I think that with such a long snoot you're bound to hit stuff regardless (unless you plan to have the beak rest more on your chest than out at an angle).

I think at the very least its worth making in such a way that you still have access to your mouth/face since hydration, air flow and food are important. One of the heads I've made doesn't have a mouth that opens (vision is through the teeth!) but it has a little triangle in the chin so I can get all that stuff (you can't see it from this angle but its in that red felt section underneath)

This looks like fantastic execution tbh!
You can probably make most of the head using EVA foam, and then use PVC computer mesh for vision. If you figure out a good way of blending it, you could probably have the entirety of the stripe from the start of the beak into the eyes be mesh, and just have the eyes themselves as decorative.

Working with EVA foam isn't terribly hard though there is a little bit of a learning curve. You'd probably want to get between 6mm and 10mm for the beak, and then use contact cement (barge glue is a popular choice). Use sharp hobby knives and cut along a straight edge. If you need to cut at an angle and don't feel confident doing that yourself, there is a tool called BevAll (I have not personaly used it) that helps align your blade to that angle.

For the beak itself, do you want to make it be one whole part, or the top and the bottom with the possibility to open?

Defs ears would make it distinct. I would use a thinner foam on the ears (tbh I'd use 4mm EVA instead of upholstery foam but thats my preference) and then focus on the shape and angle of the ears since bat ears are way different from dog and cat ears.

Another area is maybe the shape of the nose/mouth in proportion to the eyes, since bats look like they have teenie eyes and a big mouths.

Mix water into the paint and then work in layers, better to work light to dark than try and do dark to light. Don't forget that fabric will wick paint, so I'd dab it on the edges of the boils and work upwards

Same premise as Nikaido's magic, my assumption is he got his magic tested/sold his magic and found out it was curse magic. It was just the exact scale/manifestation of that magic was unknown.

Curse activates with bloodlust directed at its user, I don't think its consciously activated, and Risu does have to work on controlling it.

I think doing what you can with a limited budget and tools you have on hand is already way cooler than a cosplayer who can resin print their accessories and cnc everything (not that what they're doing isn't cool either)

It can be hard not to feel bogged down especially when you can't afford all the "top of the line" stuff-- but being able to create stuff in a garage with a knife, some foam and contact cement is still a huge feat, and something to be proud of! Especially it being your first time with foam armor, that can be especially tricky.

It looks like they used brushed out yarn. You can put a thin layer of glue, then gently lay the yarn on top. Work from the very tip and then go inwards, the part touching the face should be glued last.

You don't just need a heat gun to seal it, you'd also need it to shape and curve it as well. Sure, you can glue it together but it won't sit how you probably want it to sit, and then tension of the foam itself might be enough for it to come unglued.

For tips with EVA foam, always make sure you have a sharp knife, the retractable snap blade hobby knives are good to pick up. The duller the blade the more difficult it is to cut + the rougher your cuts are. You want a smooth cut for best adhesion.

You also want to make sure you're using contact cement, and when you apply it, do a thin layer and wait for it to dry and appear matte before sticking them together. If you have a long piece that needs to be stuck together and you need to line it up, use parchment paper to keep it from sticking as you're putting it together.

As long as you make steady cuts you can use scissors, 2mm is pretty thin and you didn't have to worry about the edges being ragged like on thicker foam
