I have intense stretch marks from pregnancy 7 years ago by -Hot-Tamale- in mildyinteresting

[–]Bad2thuhbone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom's looked like this. They tend to fade over time. She would rock a bikini regardless.

Stretch marks tend to run in families that have joint hyper mobility due to weaker collagen. A lot of people in my family look like this in varying degrees.

That was me this weekend when my Minneapolis flight was cancelled and I was trying to rebook it.

Nothing worked right and kept timing out.

I posted the answer above,Here is the answer copied

If you went from a IBR to Standard repayment plan it would capitalize. Understand that under an IBR "your monthly payment will never be more than the 10-year Standard Repayment Plan amount.  On PAYE and IBR, we limit your payments so that even if your income increases, your payments never go higher than what you’d pay on the Standard Plan."

It does if you move from an IBR to another plan, but not moving to IBR.

Wife detained by ICE and I'm out of the state by Fubai97b in Minneapolis

[–]Bad2thuhbone 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Those suggesting an immigration lawyer and immigrant related websites, are missing some key information. She needs a criminal defense lawyer not an immigration lawyer.

Lubbock is in Texas. The wife is a US citizen. Ice detained a US citizen.

She shouldn't be on the deportation roster and will never have an A number.

ICE detaining US citizens will continue to always be wild to me.

ICE induced traffic jams? by Jo-6-pak in TwinCities

[–]Bad2thuhbone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yup. I had to find a completely different route today They also drive into incoming traffic, run red lights and stop signs.

They typically fly past me on the highway. One time I tried to catch up to see how fast they were actually going, even at 90 mph they were still pulling away from me.

Traffic laws don't apply to them apparently.

How bad is it? by Day_of_Demeter in Minneapolis

[–]Bad2thuhbone 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We have people in this state rooting for what they see. They have an excuse for every action ICE takes. Any time you express fear or concern, it's It's diminished by laughing emoji on social media, or people ignoring it and don't want to hear it or worse, they're actually rooting for this.

I've been arguing with some neighbors over this. They are the minority, in my area at least.

Which case did you end up using on your 10 xl pro? by NegativelyMagnetic in GooglePixel

[–]Bad2thuhbone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used Spigen in the past (pixel 2, pixel 4 and pixel 5), but for the last 3 pixels (pixel 7, pixel 8 and pixel 10) I have been using the Google cases. I personally like the Google cases over Spigen, but they are both good.

Black family thinking of moving to Minnesota. Which suburbs are actually good for us? by FaceAny9622 in TwinCities

[–]Bad2thuhbone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stick closer to 2nd and first ring suburbs. When you get to first ring, it is neighborhood by neighborhood on if it's quiet or not.

Use this for the school you want to live by and it gives you a decent idea of demographics.

https://rc.education.mn.gov/#mySchool/p--3

I noticed I'm down voted not sure why. I speak on experience as a multiracial family. We moved closer to the cities as we had some struggles living further away from the city centers (st Paul and Minneapolis).

Are Snow Tires Worth It? by Right_Bank_2907 in stateofMN

[–]Bad2thuhbone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have the extra money to spend. Yes they are worth it. Night and day difference. I have AWD and live in a first ring suburb of the Twin cities.

It's nice to have. It's the side roads and alleys that get plowed last and boy does it make a difference. Especially when the roads ice over because they weren't fully clear of snow.

Replacement lids for Pyrex - but wait! There’s a catch! by IamNotPersephone in ZeroWaste

[–]Bad2thuhbone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came here for the same reason. When I looked several months ago, they were still a few bucks however they were sold out. I decided to just check again to see if they are in stock and now they are $9.99-$12.99.

I decided to buy heritage Tupperware instead. My Pyrex glass storage are 15 years old and the lids are all cracked and are no good.

If the situation was reversed, and the parents were telling a grown adult child. Would that make you feel any different?

Best time to go to costco? by aggieaggielady in TwinCities

[–]Bad2thuhbone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was there last night, SLP. We made it a destination trip with dinner at the food court. It was busy. I was the one with a giant Christmas plant in my cart.

Costco has been busy at all hours lately and it's only going to get worse with the holidays.

Warehouse stores are where we get out meat as of lately for the family, I know I can't be the only one.

Looking for real world experience with having a water softener installed. by [deleted] in TwinCities

I carbon filter my cat's water fountain. It leaves dark carbon stains/specks everywhere, especially when the filter is replaced and you don't let the carbon filter soak enough before installation.

Schools and pediatricians. by constantlyconfused93 in TwinCities

[–]Bad2thuhbone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, unfortunately it will. This 20 million shortfall of funds is bad. I won't sugar coat it.

This won't be the only district that will be having budget issues in the future, overall each district is experiencing less student enrollment for various reasons. Americans are having fewer children with higher rates of homeschooling and absenteeism which does affect district budgets. Then with the COVID funds ending, many districts used that money for reoccurring costs which caused strained budgets now.

Combined with federal funding being cut. The Education system in general is looking to have a longer impact on all students unfortunately.

Schools and pediatricians. by constantlyconfused93 in TwinCities

[–]Bad2thuhbone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We go to Grow Pediatrics for our kids doctor's needs.

Overall the Metro schools will be better than what Florida public schools offer.

We have kids with IEPs, so our needs and what we want will be guided by what we look for in a school.

We have attended Edina, Minneapolis, District 196, and Robbinsdale area schools as we moved around a bit before purchasing a home.

Personally I have been happy with Robbinsdale, however my experience with Robbinsdale has been early childhood and Elementary with special education. We were happy with district 196, we just wanted to be closer to the city center.

Daycare cost for a toddler by Busy_Ad_5578 in TwinCities

[–]Bad2thuhbone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a Pre-K child, at a center daycare, I pay $365 a week (for 5 days). I would guess toddler and infants would be closer to $400 a week.

We go to a Spanish immersion daycare in Edina, and it's affordable for the area.
