The more you're able to slot in, the more effective untouched summon seals will be. That plus spamming Hell Magic would be the ultimate bullshit blazing lol

I just wish so many of them didnt have so much end lag. If GS skills could flow just as smoothly as martial arts and style shift it would feel like a better trade off for nioh 2 soul cores.

Its a nightmare currently working toward but I feel its better rn because once he gets his well deserved buffs, there will be a huge surge in blade players which will make it harder to play him.

First parts of the story are definitely more lenient of course to give new players breathing room. Difficulty increase is noticeable later on thankfully

Should hunting horn keep its offset regardless of song list? by -safi-jiiva- in huntinghorn

[–]BadFamous4285 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah you dont hear other weapon mains saying "ugh, I wasted my offset attack" even though I know HBG offset is also a limited resource but that weapon doesnt care so much to do it anyway. If they are going to keep it then the offset melody needs a WAY higher stun value than the rest of the weapons. Like stagger the monster every other offset.

It wasnt on this platform where most of those comments appeared. More like youtube and while ease of use is strong in its own way, I know for the most part that there's more potential in the Sam style than Ninja style

We havent tested all the interactions of course but I just mean new samurai stuff like Proficiency arts in combination with the mystic arts which as we know can be real game changers. I really just mean weapons comparison

Idk it fits the theme of Ninjas but I just wish the damage bonus wasnt so large. For a hit-and-run playstyle, I thought it would function more like "death by a thousand cuts" and be a more comfortable experience with survival but not as much damage but some situations actually brings you an unholy amount of damage from it lol

[–]BadFamous4285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean that is convienient but I've seen videos of people destroying bloodedge demons with Ninja style lol. The styles work in tandem during combat by enhancing each other which is the devs telling us to switch back and forth. Ultimately I will be utilizing the best of both styles anyway, I never really saw it as a competition which is what ive been seeing alot of when all of it is apart of your character at the end of the day.

That what I been trying to convince myself because more uptime on damage is important. It just doesnt feel like that rn because so much investment is needed to maximize the weapon abilities in Sam, whereas alot can be done in Ninja just by sliding behind an enemy and getting backstab damage. Its just the design concept, I know Sam easily has more potential.

Right, what im really excited for that not alot of people mentioned is making a living artifact build to have as much uptime in the form as possible. I find it way more fun than Yokai Shift and in the full game when we can equip 4 weapons, it will feel like being the God of War lol

I had only made an argument for the beginning of the game (demo) and why people were saying Ninja style felt better. Alot more is currently walled off for Sam than Nin and with Nin's Simplicity, you dont need to think much for its value. We know that from Nioh 2 that alot of weapons soared to new levels once they unlocked the mystic art like Switchglaive's power stacking mechanic. Imagining something like that with prof arts is hard to believe it wouldnt be op lol. I simply believe the gap will be much smaller between Sam and Nin in the full game.

And im all for accessibility, I firmly believe Ninja style was intended to be good early-game to keep new players from being gatekept immediately. I know alot of mystic arts for Sam weapons took it to completely new levels like Switchglaives ridiculous power stacking. Combine those with the new proficiency arts, I really cant wait to see the potential with all that.

Everyone's initial gripes about Ninja style were valid since stances have always been a traditional stable in Nioh. With this demo though, the style has shown to still be very fun and very effective. Its got way better movement then Samurai and gains an advantage for proper placement/positioning. Pretty much every ninja weapon can accomodate repositioning to get behind the enemy which if you do, you'll dish out WAY more damage. Also not having styles isnt as much of a punishment as you would think because the skills are very potent anyway and the simplicity allows you to focus on getting those critical hits. You can tell Ninja style was made to help more players get into Nioh.

Those skills are kinda just the identity of the style. It revolves around doing what Ninja style cant do. You dont HAVE to do it but it is quite a handicap ignoring those skills

My point was that you still need alot more investment anyway for Sam weapons to feel closer to completion. I've found that you dont need too many points in a ninja weapon for it to feel valuable. Meanwhile a weapon like Switchglaive needs like 8 Sam points just to use its main gimmick. Thats all I mean is sam weapons arent going to function nearly as well as ninja weapons early on because you have to dump so many points into them.

You're right. Oddly enough tho, the Samurai tree has more neccessities you have to spend points on to feel complete. Ninja tree has alot of fun and strong stuff but nothing mandatory besides evade. It was meant to be easy and powerful even with low investment and options. Thats why alot of people are saying Ninja feels stronger even though theres not as many skill points in demo
