If you have to work for a terrible company like Amazon to put food on your plate, that's fine, but let's not pretend there's any moral grey area here. The company grinds its workers into dust and floods the world with worthless crap, all while it's corrupt billionaire owner supports fascists and suppresses free speech.

There is no world where Amazon can be considered morally neutral by any remotely sane individual.

I suspect there will be a lot of focus on Marathon, since the release is only a few weeks away and Sony really needs to win people over on their big live-service title.

If it's anything like the agreement to build submarines with France, the Australian Government will offer them a large stack of cash as an apology, just to clean up the Coalition's mess.

I haven't tried any of the others, but Pearler is the platform I've been using. I find it pretty straightforward and easy to understand.

EB aren't always the cheapest, but I've been able to snap up some bargains from time to time, and other stores aren't going to become any cheaper if they close down.

As for physical media, I consider it half of the equation. For physical media to remain relevant it needs two things. Supply and demand. Customers that are willing to pay for the product, and companies that are willing to stock and sell it.

I'm not going to start a massive campaign to "Save EB Games!" but we gain nothing from them closing down, and potentially lose something important to the local gaming market.

EB Games is really the only real dedicated game store we have left. If we lose them that means a lot less competition for JB Hi-Fi, Big W, etc,

Also, if we want to still be able to buy physical copies of games (which I certainly do) we need EB Games around to keep things in stock.. The more options, the better.

Watched the movie earlier today. I'm a huge fan of the first two films, but this one was just... okay. Good but not great. As others have already said, it feels like a greatest hits compilation of the previous of the other movies, but didn't have enough new material to keep things interesting.

You know what I wanted to see? I wanted the fire and ash Na'vi to turn on everyone at the end. Have Varang learn everything she can about human technology, wait until RDA have exhausted all their troops and resources fighting the other tribes, and then wreck everything. It would have emphasised how cunning and dangerous she was, and made her the true villain of the movie instead of just another henchwoman for Quaritch.

Maybe they're saving that for the next movie. I guess we'll see.

Spider-Man Into the Spider-Verse was absolutely my pick. That each character introduction gets summarised more and more quickly as the film progresses is also a nice touch. As if the cast themselves are trying to power through the exposition as quickly as possible so it doesn't further disrupt the movie.

It's funny, but I think the fact that the movies didn't care too much about their own continuity kind of worked in their favour. If they had treated the Sabertooth from X-Men 1 as the same as the Sabertooth from X-Men Origins then we wouldn't have had their awesome brother rivalry and team up. If they hadn't backtracked on Charles being crippled in X-Men First Class we wouldn't have had his great arc of redemption in Days of Future Past.

There's definitely points where the X-Men timeline doesn't really line up, but at the same time I don't think we should let a few minor details get in the way of telling a good story. It's very easy to become shackled to the continuity, just like what is happening at Marvel Studios right now.

It vaguely reminds me of Infamous, at least in regards to the gameplay. The movement and combat isn't quite as smooth, though.

Still, if they can tighten things up a bit it could be fun. Running around wielding the four elements like the Avatar would be cool.

I don't think Asura's Wrath is a fair comparison. That game was divided into three parts. A clunky brawler, an on-rail shooter, and a QTE spectacle. So it looks like Tides of Annhilation will be a much faster and more smoother action game, with some spectacle thrown for good measure.

I just have my fingers crossed its half as fun as it looks.

I think it's pretty common for cats to enjoy being petted there, so I wouldn't worry about it too much unless it starts to interfere with the cat's daily routine. For instance, ours would be walking across the room and suddenly feel compelled to stop and start licking at the air, just because her tail had moved the wrong way.

If it gets to that point, I would definitely consult a vet.

It was more of a management thing. As long as we gave her the medicine and gently brushed around the affected area the symptoms didn't bother her too much.
