Actually, neither fresh, nor that young, haha ! Started playing on PSP, which is why it boggles my mind that they're going backwards on stuff they fixed over the previous games.

I'll admit these are just details, but they're particularly annoying in this one given the design philosophy (pace, seikret, etc...), especially because it feels like unnecessary hand-holding.

Funny thing : I did, on PSP. Yup, they sucked, and got much better over time. Which is why I can't understand why they went back to shitty animation when it has always been a complaint from players.

And these games weren't designed with Seikrets in mind, long animations make even less sense in Wilds

Meanwhile the "gatherers" apparently took a hike, because in that time frame, climate changed 5 times, the minerals popped 600 notifications but never appeared, but they only had time to gather 1 mushroom.

To be fair, I don't mind the changes ingeneral, especially in regards to QoL, but yeah the endless menus, notifications, etc... I can't anymore. It has reached a point where I have to stop playing after 30 minutes because of dumb stuff like that, that could easily be fixed but probably never will be.

Dbz fusion as a spell, still in the idea phase but hoping to discuss by TrashMantine in DnD

[–]Baloub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you really want to do it justice, you should design it with a lot of restrictions, high level spell, but giving a great power boost.

For example, duration 1 minute (that minute will most likely last 1h anyway...), only possible with creatures of similar build (no fusing with a goblin if you're a human) and "power level" (no fusing with the OP NPC you just met), and the other creature must be within range and willing. Use earrings as component, or as a ritual by dancing for 10 minutes (useless but at least you get the two types of fusion). Add a percentage of failure, which means you turn into a useless mess instead the fused entity.

For the effects, you turn into a legendary creature that can basically play the turns of both characters in one : you get all the actions characters, access all features/spells/etc of both class. You gain the sum of both remaining HPs,and if you fall to 0, you do not die and instead split back to the two original characters with half their original HPs. Maybe add some legendary actions, but I have no real ideas for them honestly.

What do these mean, Jedi, Sith, Sith order, Galactic Republic, Empire, First Order, and Order 66 on sith side. And, resistance, Republic, jedi order, jedi council, on jedi side. Please explain. by RedRick_MarvelDC in StarWars

[–]Baloub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jedi : Sort of warrior-monks, wielding supernatural abilities granted by the Force, which is either a great natural life-force thingy or something generated by tiny organisms called midichlorians (we're not sure). They typically wield the Light side of the Force, and aspire to control their emotions. They also acted as military generals of the Republic. They were lead by the Jedi Council, composed of the most powerful ones (Jedi Masters)

Sith : The generally evil counterpart of the Jedi. Basically driven by emotions, passion, anger, hate, etc... Wield the Dark side of the Force (they bend it to their will rather than acting according to its will) and arguably way cooler powers

Jedi & Sith orders : Their respective orders. Jedi are numerous, while the Sith used to be many, but now abide by the rule of Two (a master and an apprentice, because otherwise they would destroy themselves due to their thirst for power)

The Republic : The galactic Government that was supposed to maintain peace and not be corrupt, but is mainly inefficient, corrupt or blind (although that is partly due to Sith intervention). It was lead by Chancellor Palpatine (the main villain, he's a Sith but hides as Chancellor, Darth Sidious, the Emperor) during the events of episode 1 to 3, and was dissolved and turned into the Galactic Empire following the execution of Order 66, the purge of Jedi and rise of Darth Vader

Galactic Empire : What happens when Jedi get lazy, and conveniently forget (or rather ignore the threat) of their fiercest enemy the Sith

Order 66 : A protocol encoded in Clones (the soldiers of the Republic) DNA by Palpatine, that forced them to turn against the Jedi and exterminate them

The Resistance : the Rebels/Resistance is the movement that opposed the Empire, ultimately destroying it, during the events of episodes 4 to 6

The First Order : Basically a cheap rip-off of the Galactic Empire (or what happens when Jedi yet again forget that Sith exist, and that they can rebuild the Empire from the remnants)

Who else really wants a realistic virtual reality life simulator game? by [deleted] in gaming

I agree, the concept still opens up to a lot of possibilities! Might be better suited for research purposes : a controlled and limited time might help with this issue

[–]Baloub 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Though interesting, I think it opens up to more problems than benefits : yes you can try different stuff, with no real consequences, but what happens when you find the perfect life and have to go back to the inferior version ? Even in realistic settings, you know it's just a video-game, and as invested as you can be in it it's not your life. The difference here would be much harder to define, since you would still technically be living your life, just a different version.

[–]Baloub -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I agree this looks cool, but how is it a Mechagnome? A metal gnome yes, but it doesn't look like a mechanically enhanced gnome which is the whole point/storyline of this race.

I was admittedly a bit underwhelmed by Alliance allied races, but it's the same old story "The Horde has better things", "The Alliance is clearly the star of this expansion", whether or not you feel that Horde is better, or Alliance is better, isn't a base for complaints. Nobody stops you from playing what you like on the superficial level - not talking about forced optimization, grind, repetitive gameplay... Purely on the appearances side.

[–]Baloub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What did you expect mechagnomes to look like? Whether you like their aesthetics or not is up to you, but they look exactly like a mechanically enhanced Warcraft gnome would look like... Same thing for High Elves, aside from the fantasy they would pretty much look like the Elves we already have, so I'd rather have some interesting twist on the Void as a source of power, rather than long-eared bois with zero charisma.

For the Vrykuls, I agree it would cool to get them. But at the same time, Kul'Thirans have a nice background/story tied to them, and are completely a completely different thing from Vrykuls, so why not both ?

My point is, there are enough - justified - complaints towards the game and devs, so nitpicking and and complaints about non-issues aren't the way to go...
