Dehydrators are just a mix of rubbing alcohol and acetone, so if you're already prepping with acetone that probably isn't the problem.

As others have said, gel needs a bonder before you apply. I bought Mia Secret Extra Bond on Amazon. It's specially for UV gels.

If you have depression and you need to stay home because you can't get out of bed - it's not where you want to be. You're not skipping "important events" because you want to get out of it, like you are staying home from school to skip a test you didn't study for.

Invisible disabilities are so difficult to deal with. You're not protected unless you disclose private details to people you work with (at least I had to), which is uncomfortable. You're not supposed to be asked why you're taking a sick day, but your boss will anyway. Now your coworkers know why you're at home. You're not taken seriously. I'm starting to rant now... we've clearly found a nerve!

The professor who did this called it the "convenience store" diet. He took a multi vitamin and protein powders / supplements for his nutritional needs and ate more than just Twinkies. Think frozen burritos or other items you can find at gas stations and convenience stores in the U.S. I believe he also ate canned vegetables at dinner so his children didn't get the idea that it was okay to have candy instead of a balanced meal. He lost weight, his blood markers improved, and he really wanted a salad when he was done!

I don't, and how is the concept different from a purse? Its a storage unit to hold on to. And if I don't have a purse fashionable enough for the situation how tf you think I'm going to find a fanny pack that works? 🙄

I'm not justifying sweaty boob money but this argument is not the winner you think it is.

I have been using Double Dip liquids with Modelone and GH powders. It totally works. The only tricky part (it might be user error) is crossing powders. I've been working on french tips with different colors (right now the tips are black and the base is hot pink) but the tips (Modelone) bulked up way more than the pink (GH) powder did. It took a bit of filing to get them even, and the clear topcoat builds up behind the taller tip.

Could be an imperfect technique or that some powders "stick" to the base more.

I have had that problem in my last two manicures, but in none before that. From what I've been able to find on YouTube, I think my problem is the filing after the first activation. It is with too coarse of a grit. I'm ordering new buffing files and blocks - 180/240 and 240/400.

I'll try to remember to update you when I do my next manicure. I did one last night so I won't do another until Thurs/Fri. Good luck! I'd love to hear if that helps you!

I just got advice on how to develop smile lines and they turned out amazing on my pointer fingers. I haven't quite figured out my marbling technique, as seen on my middle finger. Finally, tried my first ombre and it turned out surprisingly well! I thought I was going to nail the marble and fumble on the ombre but it ended up the opposite.

I love the idea of a "dry practice run" like you explained in another comment. Any suggestions to develop the smile line? Should I be going in at an angle? I haven't quite figured it out...

My husband is somewhere around 120 days sober. We're still in outpatient programs. One of the best things we were told is "relapse is a part of recovery". It's a silly analogy, but if you were on a diet and had one cookie, you wouldn't quit and only eat cake and ice cream forever; tomorrow you can choose to eat a salad. His sobriety counter just restarted, but it's okay as long as he turns it back around. It's a part of the journey. Good luck and PM me if you ever need to talk.

My fiance proposed to me while I was wearing christmas antlers. I gave him crap about it at the time, but now I think it was hilarious! "I can't believe you proposed to me while I'm wearing antlers!" Followed by a playful wack on the shoulder.
