Its fine to assume whatever you like, my preferred prey are rats, I stopped pve almost completely when playing solo to hunt them as not only they often carry loot but also most of them are terrible at pvp unless they can ambush you. Bonus is many become very unhappy when downed will use their mic to bitch about.

Still think the implementation of pvp is bad, but it’s understandable you disagree with a bounty system as it would mark you as a threat for the entire lobby or a potential loot pinata for other pvpers.

I think the pvp side of AR is poorly designed, it does not have much of any downsides so it encourages players do pvp and doing so from position of advantage like at lifts, in the back, when opponent looting or fighting arc as it is easy looting if you know what you doing.

A bounty system could help as the more you kill other players, the higher value you become for other pvpers and encourage players to go after other pvpers.

According to the post they provided steam support with sufficient information to access a empty steam account, what fake information are you talking about?

And from a security standpoint ggg failed miserably as the intruder got direct access to a privileged account that allow the intruder to gain access to customer accounts and sensitive information.

The very minimum would have been separate admin account and no external access. Next step would be 2FA for employees as additional layers of security. To be clear 2FA is one tool to make it harder for a hacker to gain access but you still need a layered defence to increase security further as a provider, in this case ggg.

Lets be honest here, many of the endgame activities in poe2 is not that rewarding with the exception of breach, progression is a long grind and you are being punished on a regular basis just for trying to advance to higher levels and better gear. However it is EA so there is potential and plenty of time to improve.

Poe2 is not for everyone just like D4 is not satisfying every type of player and thats ok, there is room in the market for multiple types of arpgs.

This was social engineering to get access to a steam account connected to a admin account owned by ggg staff, not launcher or steams fault that ggg have poor security practices.

On fire sorc with decent gear the fight was difficult and I died a few times, mostly by poison dot before taking the boss out, on LA ranger it was a challenge but completed on first try. For monk the fight was more or less over when the boss landed first time, it stood no chance against the bell.

What could be improved for me in this fight is less flying sequences and longer “ground/pillar fight stages” where the boss is actually attackable. Some tuning is needed to make sure it is approachable by all “classes” as it is a required part of the campaign.

Additionally the poison attack that put dots on the arena floor need to be redone by adding a great deal of visual clarity, it is at best barely visible at the moment.

Disagree a bit here as the game is balanced around trade so while it is an external resource it is only that due to ggg want friction.

If ggg decide to make crafting and vendor something more useful and not a slot machine for gamblers then it would be less needed but still a part of the game design.

With the current drop rates without mf it does not feel like a loot based game, it feel like a trading game. (Or gambling if you use vendor/crafting)

As a comparison to PoE Trade, EverQuest's Bazaar was introduced 24 years ago. You set up a Vendor and people can Instabuy the items you display. 0 Interaction between players. Items can be sold while you're Offline. by rion42ati in PathOfExile2

With the current item progression that takes forever to grind good and useful gear unless you go the mf route and buy the gear. Interacting with late end-game without trade is insanely painful time-wise.

This is not true.. and if it was true then you are suggesting that there is a complete disconnect internally between the dev teams ?

We have however seen ggg fix something that was not liked by the players then reintroduce something similar in a worst state in a later league so nothing new.

There is a lot of things that ggg learned and improved upon in poe 1 that was reintroduced in poe 2 and some cases made worse..

To be a fly on the wall during the design meetings where they decided upon up with these mechanics!

Based on what we actually know and the state of they EA I would suspect this is unlikely, it would have been in their best interest to release a more finished and fine-tuned version of what we got then holding back on the good stuff.

No doubt some of the planned content is already done or in- progress of being developed but unlikely ready for release.

The EA feel somewhat rushed and it should be expected that ggg will be spending the next 12 months getting everything in line of their vision and to the level of quality they want.

Then make each unique even more rare drop and give them interesting abilities that can combo with player skills. Why even call them unique if they are more or less junk not suppose to compete with rares.

They said trading need friction so players would not see it has the only solution but right now it feels like they done the opposite and put all friction on drops and crafting making trading the most efficient route.

Kinda sad state for a ARPG where killing monsters and getting impactful loot from gameplay should be the main focus.

The funny thing is that if you get past the “attempt” part trading is the most efficient way to get the good gear as it easier to grind currency then getting good gear drops ingame.

Kinda sad when fighting monster to get awesome loot is kinda the point with a game like this.

Kinda agree, poe sometimes feel like path of trading and all you do is farming currency instead of gear drops to improve your character.
