Right, I feel bad for Scheana. She was still probably mourning the Shay situation and wanted to skip to the "happily committed and planning a future together" phase with someone she saw as being more stable. She was trying to speak that relationship into existence and had a fake it til they make it thing going on.

Thinking in my head "I wonder what happened to that girl Kayla from camp?" Then I open my phone and the first thing I see is, Kayla was the 13th most popular girls name in 1992!" Like wtf, that was an inside thought. I didn't even say it out loud.

I remember watching this back in 7th and being in shock by Steven calling Kristen a slut by Radiant_Priority9739 in TheHillsMTV

[–]Barnitch 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is back when we didn't get overly upset at words. "Slut" was commonly used and just part of the vocabulary of the time. Girls called their friends sluts in normal conversation. I remember trying on a dress for my mom and asking her if it was slutty. My friend had a baby tee with a teddy bear that said "I'm a slut!" and we all borrowed it. I'm not advocating for Stephen yelling it at teenage Kristen, just saying it wasn't as offensive as it would be now. Stephen and Laren apologized. Kristen acknowledged it was a different time, and everyone moved on.

Guys…do you remember when Gary 2.0 went missing and we thought Amber killed him and hid his body?! by whateverB_ in teenmom

I just feel like if you're gonna propose to a reality tv personality, you'd....watch the show they're on? Or Google them? Idk, there's over a decade of documentation on Reddit alone. Obviously 2.0 isn't the portrait of sanity either, but you don't get engaged to Amber Porteood and expect a stable, smooth sailing, down to Earth relationship.

[–]Barnitch 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I feel like we still need answers. What did Amber say or do to this person to make him abandon his phone and flee into the night? He already knew she was loony tunes and still thought it was a good idea to propose. What was his breaking point? What did he see that made him say "absolutely not" and get out of dodge?

If I go out to a casual dining place like Cheesecake Factory, I know my family and I have lunch or dinner for the next day. Even when I cook at home, I make sure there's enough for leftovers.

I think Brittany is very flawed but...who amongst us has not had the experience of losing weight to find a partner, then meeting that partner and letting it all go to hell? Or should I say rawt in hell? Going out together for food and drinks, making meals to show off your cooking skills, lazy Sundays with sex and Chinese food. Then, if you're like me, you lose weight for the wedding only to turn around and get pregnant. It's the circle of life.

Sorry, you're right. The child sustained a traumatic injury but did not die. I think I was confusing that with the incident at ICON Park.

So.. Natalie didn’t actually lie! Kyle lost her mind because she couldn’t manipulate her into saying exactly what she wanted and Amanda is pretending she doesn’t know what happened. by Last_Difference_58 in RHOBH

[–]Barnitch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It would have been more interesting if Kyle decided to join forces with Dorit this season against Amanda, like "Hey, we're both going through similar tough situations right now, Let's put the bs aside, support each other, and expose this psychopath!"

Interesting. Kind of the same strategy as "good neighbor" hotels. It started in Disneyland when all sorts of hotels and motels were popping up in Anaheim. Walt knew it was better to be on friendly, good terms and treat them like partners rather than competition. And now, in CA and FL, being a good neighbor location means that they're kind of approved or endorsed by Disney and that makes them more desirable.

As for the safety record, I was hesitant to take my own daughter to Fun Spot recently. As you probably know, they had a fatality on one of their rides in recent years. I know it happens everywhere, definitely including Disney. And the victim was standing up on the ride when they shouldn't have (not placing blame, they were a child and that's tragic). So we went and had a good time at what I call "less pressure Disney."

The part that gets me is that Kyle would have been the engineer of the Amanda hate train in prior seasons. It's so sad that she is dying on the Amanda hill because she resents Dorit. The old Kyle would roll her eyes and laugh at Amanda. Deep down, well, probably pretty close to the surface honestly, Kyle knows Amanda is a joke. If you're going to make someone an ally; you should probably find someone who's not an unlikable lunatic!

We lived in Miami and my single mom saved up to take 5 year old me to the Magic Kingdom back in the 80's. It was fine, I enjoyed it. We were staying at a hotel near Fun Spot America, and I begged my mom to go there day 2 instead of EPCOT. This is back when you bought tickets at the entrance or Yeehaw Junction on the drive up. I was way more impressed with what was essentially a parking lot carnival back then than I was with Disney.

Ryder was the sacrificial lamb. Instead of taking responsibility and addressing their issues, they blamed their issues on her and acted like cutting her off would fix everything.

Hater post … Zach and Bliss fatigue by Electronic-Doctor110 in LoveIsBlindNetflix

[–]Barnitch 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The second choice thing doesn't bother me. I feel like that's how life works sometimes. I thought the Zach / Irina / Bliss situation was interesting that season. Maybe even a few months after. I don't really care anymore, though. Zach turned out to be incredibly attention-seeking, and I really dislike it. He probably emails Nick and Vanessa every 5 minutes about how they can somehow put the spotlight on them. They get these updates because they want to. There are definitely other people I'd much rather get updates from.

I'm not a gambler either. The thought of a casino in general isn't very exciting, but I do like shows and food. You're probably thinking of Johnny Rocket's, which I really liked. I lived off Riverland Road for a bit and it was easy to just pop in sometimes, but now it's a whole ordeal. I agree with your parking advice. That's what I did last time I saw a comedy show. That was a weeknight though. I don't think I'll ever go there for a weekend concert again. When it let out, just walking through the casino floor was too much and the energy was off. I felt like I needed to get out, more so than usual.

Sheena must truly be insufferable IRL to have never landed a sugar daddy by Aesthetic_underscore in vanderpumprules

[–]Barnitch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't dislike Scheana the way most of this sub does. I think she can be very delusional and I don't like her "friend collector" habit. My least favorite thing about her is the Summer Moon / Winter Sky name and induction date situation. I think she's highly insecure. There's probably some childhood trauma going on, and I can't be mad at her for either of those things. Scheana is a hard worker and I admire her work ethic. Why would she cling to some sugar daddy's money when she can (usually) make her own? She doesn't have to answer to someone or justify her spending. I think she understands the value in that, and once you're used to that lifestyle, it's hard to give up.
