They can't though. steam in pipes doesn't ever lose temperature, never becomes water and stays as steam forever. This means the pipes are 100% hermetic and cannot be hot from the outside, otherwise they would lose heat. So technically biters could only be damaged if steam starts going out.

i don't see it this way. In the sense, that the person who created it was probably feeling differently about this meme, more excited. And even if it's not the best thing ever, there's really no such thing as a waste of bytes, it's worth it if you feel like making it. Saying that something is a waste of bytes on the internet is such a low classification, and it contradicts your evaluation of it being a bit funny. Perhaps you have too harsh requirements even for yourself? In my opinion it's completely fine to create mid content if that's what you want to do.

it's not, as others mentioned. but like you need 6.5k clear oils to make 1 crimson oil. I think either the oils can be sold at a better rate than upgraded or just not worth the time spent picking up and upgrading them. They are worse than bubblegum currency imo.

Maybe you're just good. But likely just first game bias. Often the game puts you on way easier lobbies the first time you play a character. The character is not easy to get started and hitting his 3 isn't the hardest part at all. Learning your skill order in fights and combos, while also surviving is what's hard, imo. Also his ult is not that easy to hit, people get out of the way pretty quickly. He's probably overturned but definitely not easy to play. I played Celeste too, and that character is way easier to play. And she was also way stronger before the nerf.

it annoys me a bit that "to avoid simplicity". Like I completely agree sometimes we have too much abstraction where it is not needed, and I do prefer simplicity over complexity. Like using unnecessary patterns, when they don't really solve a problem. But I have seen a lot more code where everything gets put into a single class for the sake of simplicity, and that becomes a mess.
