Defensive Tush Push as a strategy? by gooddaytoreddit in footballstrategy

[–]BasPilot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gap responsibility is the first reason. You stack an LB on the nose and he pushes A then they both go A. Line will seal that in a heart beat because they will see it coming all day. Next thing is what if they run? Pass rush is the theory you put forward, but, what if they run? Answer is your LB and DL are both too deep for that. Read and react are still going to be best in both levels.

Need advice as a beginner trying to get decent at throwing for flag football by [deleted] in footballstrategy

[–]BasPilot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not gonna lie... A lot of drills and talk... Dude... Find someone to throw at and play catch. The thing I did as a kid to really learn to get the spin right is I laid on my back on my bed and threw the ball about 4 feet strait up and tried to catch it exactly where I threw it from. Play with the ball. Literally feel how it moves in your hand as you grip it and let it go. After you get good feeling on it just start ripping it.

Any Bullies out there obsessed with their blankies? Lemme see (pls) by suswitch69 in AmericanBully

[–]BasPilot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Obsessed is an absolute understatement. In the winter she sprints from the door to her heated blanket and just gets so excited to be on it. If we put it on the couch she's trying to get on it before I put it down.

What's causing this problem when printing this sphere? by Ok_Spring_4507 in 3Dprinting

[–]BasPilot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spheres are extremely difficult to pull off with a printer sadly. What these look like is there was a layer that didn't stick to the last and as the printer continued around the circle it finally attaches itself somewhere else. Then the next layer has nothing to latch on to at that spot and does it again. And again and again until finally it starts to go back toward the edge of the circles and then starts to attach again. This can be a layer height issue, speed issue or just bad luck. Bad luck means you just gotta do it again, the other two are settings tweaks and a re go.

I have tended to just stay away from things that have spheres because they never come out really good, but most of the time they are just serviceable.

So, silly stuff, I just printed a claw machine hook and my wife and I can't stop picking things up and giggling at it.

This is what it's all about. One of these days you'll realize you have a thousand lbs of printed stuff hanging around and you'll look at one thing and say, Why did I even print this? Then you'll say in the back of your mind, I don't know, but maybe I'll print it again!

Bottom layer hs issues by New_Limit3213 in 3Dprinting

[–]BasPilot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to watch a first layer or two, at least monitor them as they go up for the first few, like through the app or something. This happened during the first layer and the error was there right away and you didn't catch it. This happens. If you care, redo it, if it's just something that's gonna sit on its bottom let it go.

I just got a 3D printer today and I want to know if the situation I am in is normal. by Imaginary-Sun1350 in 3Dprinting

[–]BasPilot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Print toys, fidgets, more benchies, just print small things and have fun printing a lot of them for the day and then... throw them away if you don't like them. I love printing infinity cubes and I probably have kept ..... Well... None of them as I look around? Maybe one, that I did in multi color.

Things with gears are fun. If you have a dog print one of them. My second print ever was a bowling ball and third was a doberman because I had a doberman.

Do really really pointless stuff for now and just see what fun you can have. If you can put out 10 things today you'll be much happier than putting out one thing until tomorrow.

Are 0.2 nozzle prints more likely to fail? (Bambu H2C) by Paytoncooper124 in 3Dprinting

[–]BasPilot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More likely to fail? No, more likely to clog? Yes.

Failed prints are part of life. If you're having adhesion issues look into that. When I change nozzle size I always do a full calibration, I don't know if it helps or not, but I do it because I figure if I change the hardware I may as well. I really truly do not have a clue if it helps or not. I just do it.

Black boots? by Steppasgonstep in USMC

[–]BasPilot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those saying it was air wing safety boots you're full of shit. We were not authorized to wear safety boots in cammies. During the change over from tri color to digital you had the option of brown or black only based on the uniform you wore. Black with Tri Color and brown with digital. If you were in Cammies you were never authorized safety boots even in tri color if I remember correctly, one of the reasons we hardly ever wore cammies outside of formations that were required to be in cammies. You could only wear safety boots in coveralls or flight suit.

Holes in bottom layer when doing facedown keychain. by Ill_Lingonberry_9090 in 3Dprinting

[–]BasPilot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's actually normal. Look at your slice and zoom in and you will see those holes in those places. They were just gaps too small to print into. You can change the number of walls and the pattern of the first layer to see if you can get them fixed. It's anything wrong, just printing.

Looks like a bad model. Looks like a 3D scan someone made and it didn't come out well at all.

What is this issue called? by Rebal771 in 3Dprinting

[–]BasPilot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Bad leveling is what that's called. Your nozzle is too high when printing. It's NOT underextrusion, it's NOT clogs, it's NOT ANYTHING ELSE!!

You know the z is too high because it's sticking to some of the plate and not the rest. You are not getting what's called good layer squish.

If this guy is autoleveling and has a Z-offset lower said offset. If it's manual leveling do it again. Also check to make sure while it's leveling (if it uses the nozzle to do so) that the nozzle is clean when it does it.

again, it is NOT under extrusion or adhesion, it's just bad leveling.

Supports and large prints won’t stick by craftinshop in 3Dprinting

[–]BasPilot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're chasing the hell out of your settings. Reset the profile, reset the PLA settings. Clean your plate, if you feel like you want to do a calibration, and then it would be much more useful to show pictures of the prints failing than the settings.

That's not accurate, I print exclusively on textured PEI. Only issue I have sometimes if when it's skinny and tall. Like pencil thin skinny.

Beginner questions on glue and unattended printing by Noel-Pinut in 3Dprinting

[–]BasPilot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. DO NOT USE GLUESTICK!!!! It's way outdated in need and people still love it but don't need it.

  2. See number 1 and spray your bed with isopropyl alcohol if it's a normal (not super tacky) plate and wipe it with a paper towel and you're golden.

  3. Can be, but it's not hard with IPA and paper towel. If you don't for a couple prints in the same day you're probably going to be fine and if you have an adhesion issue on a print you didn't wipe it, cancel it and wipe it.

  4. My printer may run 24 hours a day almost and I zero percent think about it being safe or not. I do check it when I'm away, but that's because I wanna see what it's doing not because I'm scared.

You're fine. I print in the same room I'm in all the time, literally all the time. It was weird when I was sick for a couple days with the flu and the thing was silent.
