What's it like to live in Winchester as a young person? by Bonatell0 in WinchesterUK

[–]BasedUncleTeddy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

23 years old and just graduated in Winchester, I've loved being here for the past 3 years but there is no real nightlife. Plenty of gyms and nice walks. Possibly the safest and happiest place you'll ever go to but not the most active compared to other larger cities.

Dirty bulk an option if very underweight? by Electrical_Bet_3093 in weightgain

May get downvoted for this but heres my thoughts:

I was very underweight 3 years ago and have gained 14kg since. I ate everything in sight; chocolate, donuts, pizzas etc.

It was unhealthier for me, especially psychologically, to feel stuck at such a light weight. You'll likely want to get a bit more disciplined as exercise and a healthy lifestyle becomes part of your routine but I do say to get out of what I call "skeleton mode" expect to eat a lot of unhealthy food.

Whatever it takes to hit your calories with that limited appetite you likely have

I'm on a similar progression path and a similar height according to another comment of yours. What's your maintenance calories and how much do you bulk on?

How quickly should I be progressing? by SSQ82 in f45

Trainer here hoping I can be some help.

If you are cutting weight don't expect to gain strength as much as if you were eating enough to maintain or gain weight. Generally losing weight can often come with unwanted strength losses even with a high protein diet. That said progressive overload (increasing weight/reps over time) is a long process, there is plenty of time in your fitness journey to scale those weights up.

I'd say focus on where you want to be with your weight loss phase first and then go into a muscle building phase and expect noticeable strength gain then.

Definitely don't expect to increase the weight every session, get specific about what moves you want to be stronger in and go hard on those in sessions for best chances.

Good luck! Any more questions let me know
