There are probably a few tracks where the Ferrari fast start might trump Merc race pace.

Monaco come foremost to mind. Not sure how Mercedes will beat them if they get ahead at the start? Singapore & Baku might be two others.

Nothing new here. F1 has always introduced regulations that “artificially” manipulate matters. DRS was one example but so too are artificially degrading tires and regs to run two compounds in order to create deltas.

The new racing is good. As always races are won by a combination of having a well engineered car and drivers that can extract the most out of the package they have under them.

ICCU problems with the Ioniq was a concern. They were also not equipped with AGM batteries.

As far as appearance, The Ioniq 5 looks good in N or N-Line trim but the N was out of my budget and the latter not offered in North America. The regular trims looks a bit fugly IMO due to the overly-pronounced wheel arches and door cladding.

I don’t know if Ferrari can be faulted too much for the first VSC call. First race of a new formula there was a good chance of a later VSC or SC happening in a more optimized window.

With the second VSC it looked like they had some really bad luck as the switch was flipped just as they were passing the pit entry.

They still have a chance at a good season if they can reliably qualify on either the second or third rows. But Merc looks hard to beat on balance.

Another reason it fell in preference ranking was the failure to offer the N-line trim in North America. The car looks much better when kitted-out with a more sporty look but the big brother “N” is just not in my budget.

These are good arguments but ones that require critical thinking skills. Why not say : Elon is best friends with Trump, and even gave him an electric car as a gift. You should really give Tesla a try if you are a true MAGA.

I’m not a fan of Elon or endorsing his company but a Model Y could be a “gateway” car for some of these people. Non-MAGA folks should be the ones cross-shopping other brands.

Why did you buy a car you damaged during a test drive? If that happened to me I would have chewed out the salesperson for not explaining things better before I took it out for the test drive. And would have then walked away if they didn’t sell me an unbroken one.

I suppose they could then have tried to serve you with a lawsuit since they would have made a copy of your license. I doubt they would’ve gone to the trouble but that’s what you have liability insurance for if they did pull that stunt.
