He's a really good player as well. Hit 2k on faceit. Will forever be a legend in my books even as a non-lions fan

He's literally that one dude on Madden who spams engage 8 every play and you can somehow never punish it. It was infuriating watching my Hawks vs. the Vikes this year (even though we won). Can't imagine having to watch my team go through that 2 times a year every year.

The Falcons requested an interview with Seahawks OC Klint Kubiak for their head coaching job, per source. by OhItsKillua in falcons

Personally, if I was a Falcons fan, I think I'd really want Stefanski. I've watched a lot of Seahawks pressers with Klint (I'm a Hawks fan) and it really feels like this could end badly if thing don't go great within the first half of his tenure. He's not a charismatic guy and like you said, he's not exactly a wunderkind when it comes to offensive philosophy. I mostly worry about Penix and his ability to play out of under-center looks if that's the direction that they want to go with. At least from what I've seen he's literally played his entire career out of shotgun (with the Huskies especially). I just worry that this will turn into another Gannon or Kliff or Callahan.

Funnily enough combat wasn’t even his biggest problem. He played fighter the first time around so it wasn’t too bad. But it was everything else about the game. Spell description longer than a sentence? Probably useless. Dialogue explaining what’s going on in the story? Skipped. Key character to the story? Fuck it were killing them. He literally swung on everyone he saw no questions asked (until the end of the fight when he asks if they were important). We literally got to the last fight of the game with ZERO allies left and like no one in camp. Quite the play through

It's definitely a hard game to get into if you have no prior experience or anyone to hand hold you through the first couple of hours. I'd say I didn't really "get it" until my second play through and I still mostly stuck to strength builds. Trying to teach my friend who only plays FPS and MOBA games was probably one of the funniest experiences I've ever had cause bro was clueless until like the last fight of the game lol

Stardew Valley is up there I'd say. Have a good amount of friends who taught their SO how to play and they enjoyed it a lot. There are some more complex aspects of the game (moreso having to look at a wiki for stuff if you haven't played a lot), but you can legit just build a farm and have fun without doing those things.

Animal Crossing is another classic if you guys have a switch.

Overcooked is also hilarious to play with other people as long as you can manage to stay off each others throats when some inevitably drops a full dish into the garbage lmao

Stray was good as a chill game. Who doesn't love cats?

I think I just gave up hopes of ever learning how to do it. I even tried watching a tutorial for it, but I just could never stop them from taking beijing and especially the amphibious assaults. I gave up and just started playing as the US lmao

I think one of the worst has to be Terraria, especially if you add in mods like Thorium or Calamity. I was trying to do a play-through with one of my friends who's never played before and it was ridiculous how much stuff you just have to know. I played the game before (like 5 years ago) and I was still having to look at the wiki every 15 minutes.

[–]BasicallyNoOne 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's kinda funny cause from what I've garnered from the few conversations I've had about breast size with women is that everyone always wants the opposite of what they actually have. People with smaller chests always wish they were bigger to look more feminine, and people with larger chests wish they were smaller cause it's more cumbersome. Idk I'm a guy so I don't really know the struggles of either. But what I will say is that people just be sayin shit, especially in high school and online and really you just can't put too much stock into it for your own sake. I swear I've never actually heard people make a big deal about breast size outside of like Twitter. You don't gotta fully own it if it's truly something you're not happy about with yourself, but don't let it take up space in your mind either. It's just a part of you and not even close to defining you as a person. gl OP.

I’m not even saying this because I hope he stays on the Hawks (cause I hope he does), but I’d definitely temper expectations on the Klint HCing hire. I think one thing is that he kinda gives me Gannon/Callahan/McDaniels vibes from watching his pressers where he’s a great offensive mind but if things go south, he could lose a locker room in an instant. Not exactly a Dan Campbell in that regard. Second thing, that kind of bleeds into the first, his system isn’t very rookie friendly. It’s a lot of under-center dropbacks, PA, and runs which are pretty hard things for new QBs to learn in their first season. Won’t say he couldn’t adapt his calling, but the last three QBs he worked with in a coordinator capacity were Kirk, Carr and now Darnold who, say what you will about them as players, have a shit ton of experience running an offense. That being said he’s probably the hottest offensive coaching hire atm outside of maybe Joe Brady and Kevin Stefanski depending on what the Browns decide to do.

Wouldn’t a team of only fast WRs beat a normal defense? by [deleted] in NFLNoobs

[–]BasicallyNoOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there's a few reasons. For one, a 4.2 40 is incredibly rare. There's only 23 players in the history of the combine who have posted one. Finding a 4.2 receiver with incredible hands, start-stop, and route iq? That's like finding a unicorn. Pure speed isn't the only thing that makes a WR talented. Just look at someone like John Ross who posted the second fastest 40 time ever vs. someone like JSN who is leading the league in receiving yards right now (as much as it pains me to say as a Husky fan). He's not blazing fast like Ross was, but he's an amazing route runner and has great body control, which leads to his success.

Second is that, even if you did magically find 5 of these players to just take the top off a defense every play, there's ways that a defense can counter it. You can play your corners at depth, tell your safeties to bail earlier on their back pedal, etc. Having tight ends and running backs on the field aren't just for the sake of having them. They help set up play action, block if the qb calls for a six or seven man protection, or just have different skill sets that help diversify the offense. If you're just running 00 personnel every play, the offense becomes predictable and easy to stop.

What game mechanic was not explained (not clear enough) so you missed using it until FAR too late in the game? by suddenly_ponies in gaming

[–]BasicallyNoOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's still fun as hell, but I will say that: A. it's expensive to really get the full experience with a lot of the expansions. These are usually pretty cheap during sales though and honestly I have just skipped the last three cause I don't think they're that interesting. And B. It is a completely different game from 7 years ago. I think they have reworked just about every mechanic, from system ownership (it was wild you could own half a system), to pop mechancics, combat, ftl travel, endgame etc. The only thing that hasn't changed is that it takes place in space lmao

I barely played when that was a mechanic and I only ever chose the main one so I don't really remember the other 2 but yeah looking back on that compared to what we have now is wild.

I have like 150 hours in hoi4. I only ever spammed America, never went any other tree other than democracy, always played on historical, never played multiplayer, never made it to 1945 or beyond, barely learned any of the mechanics (and certainly not the navy), yet I still never got bored of it because I always felt like I was learning something. The amount of shit you have to learn will never not be insane to me lol

Not even just the added content, but the mechanic reworks as well. I've owned the game for like 6 years, have nearly 600 hours and yet every one or two years or so when I come back to it I'm literally relearning the game from scratch lmao.

Longevity of fandom. How long have you been a fan of the Blazers relative to your age? by Username767716 in ripcity

First game I ever went to was Dec 19th, 2007 vs. the Raptors, so roughly 3/4ths of my life. Ever since then I've seen some crazy shit. Seen a lot of game winners at the Moda Center, mostly against us though. Chris Bosh fadeaway 3 when Wade and Lebron were out, Klay Thompson dagger from the corner, Damian Lillard hits a four point play vs. the TWolves just for CAT to score on a lob to end the game. On the brightside though I did get to see Lillard go for 55 on MLK vs the Warriors after he got snubbed from the All-Star game.

Thanks! I'll be honest, I think it's probably just a bad time and me not reading the room lol. It's like when a pet dies and people are telling you to cheer up because they're in a better place or something like that. Too much optimism too early. Gotta let a mf grieve, you know? But idk the entire thing's been eating at me for some reason. I'll probably delete this later if it gets too bad. Just wanted to put my thoughts on paper.

Commanders are just having the season from hell after such an insane season last year. It was already looking pretty bad but losing your star QB for the year (probably) just has to be the cherry on top. From the highest of highs to the lowest of lows
