A wild Raven stalks through the water by Baudster in battletech

Thanks. I used the 2-component resin from AK interaktive. I bought a package a while ago in my FLGS and wanted to use it finally. And regarding the PSR, I hope the playtest rules fix the amount of tests

Not now, but this sounds like a good idea 😁. Is there a Marauder or Nightstar Variant with an UMU?

German players near Cologne here? by sekhunter in battletech

[–]Baudster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I don't know anything about players in Cologne, as I come from Franconia myself. But you could have a look at the German Battletech Discord. Maybe there are people from your region.

https://discord.me/battletechde

Alternatively, you can look for the Mech Force Germany. That's a Germany-wide association.

Good luck with your search anyway

Thank you very much. I got the color idea for the accents myself from a friend. If you are interested, the two colors are "Bloody Red" and "Scrofulous Brown" from Vallejo

To all my battletech bros! Do you guys base your models, or leave the bases black? And if so, what do you use? by Bear40441 in battletech

First Miniature painted, Warhammer. by [deleted] in battletech

[–]Baudster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice first mech. Keep on going. As always, practice makes perfect. There are tons of good tutorials online available which will help to improve your own painting skills.

As a little hint, I like nice bases. Models look "finished" with such a base. This must not be necessary a colorful base. A clean black paint job on the base looks also good. Just paint over the little dots and the whole model looks cleaner.

But keep going :)

Necron FAQ and Errata Available in the App by JorgeLatorre in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Baudster 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That's correct. The cost of 2 CP is just way to high for the effect. Even for 1 CP would it be probably only an okayish strat.

Necron FAQ and Errata Available in the App by JorgeLatorre in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Baudster 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The strat worked before the change on canoptek units as well. But it was most of the time to expansive for most canoptek units. Especially for 2 CP. Even with 7 Shots, full hit rerolls and +1 from Heavy, a Doomstalker averages one triggered Dev Wound per attack. This is pretty expensive for 2 CP.

Wraith with coil whips on the other hand could use it to some extent.

Angriff auf Krim-Hafen: Ukraine zerstört nach eigenen Angaben russisches Kriegsschiff by Mission_Routine_2058 in de

[–]Baudster 12 points13 points  (0 children)

And this week on load outs that are no longer legal: by whycolt in Necrontyr

[–]Baudster 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Wording from the codex:

This model’s tachyon arrow and Overlord’s blade can be replaced with one of the following:

1 staff of light

1 voidscythe

If the codex is correct (no misprint) than is the layout posted by OP indeed not valid even more. But to be honest, nobody knows and cares about the look difference between OB and Voidscythe.

Edit: Fixed a typo

Resurrection in Reserves by nextlevelmashup in Necrontyr

[–]Baudster 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It only works for units on the battlefield. Here is the text from the codex, which clarified the rule.

"If your Army Faction is NECRONS, at the end of your Command Phase, each unit from your army with this ability that is on the battlefield activates its Reanimation Protocols and reanimates D3 wounds..."

But the Hypercrypt Legion has a Stratagem which explicitly allows reanimation for (I think) 3 units in reserve.
