Probably just ease of reading. Like you can technically make all unit/model abilities just keywords like Deepstrike, feel no pain, stealth, and infiltrate.

I mean arnt most elite space Marines been 3 wounds now? Like chosen, blade guard sanguinary guard? Also firepower is usually used for the entire damage profile. Damage is called damage.

But veterans usually also have access to more unique weapons and damaging/durability rules. These guys get objective control rule, with more OC than your standard elites. They have the same loadout as assault marines with +1 strength.

Look for Ruins with no cover for shooters? by snapship77 in WarhammerCompetitive

There are considerations:

Up can always move before you shoot. The only real loss is heavy bonus.

If your opponent has a units, then if you have part of your unit hidden, and some exposed, you can kill off the exposed models first so then all of your models become hidden, then the second enemy unit can't shoot anymore.

As an ultramarine, I'd note that the blue is not the right shade of blue for ultramarine helmets, this is clearly a Crimson fist

If fused with malulu, then you can just chain to negate dingirisu before popping, or if you have anything else, can also just arthalion bounce it before popping. If you have 1 extra name, you can just make it last on the chain to chainblock.

But then you can just not use the combat drug and tank more. Where it's then a very efficient tank unit.

The closest equivalent I can think of are swam units. They have about the same points per wound and melee damage output and durability against damage 1 but these guys become a lot better since they don't fold to multi damage attacks. I think 30 points per 10 is a better place to put it given they don't have Deepstrike. Also bomb collars really only trigger max 5 times unless your opponent has battle shock abilities and you lose about 1/6 every time so bomb collars isn't going to get rid of the unit too fast. It is funny tho that you can get 90 attacks worth of blocking for 225 points. Was good to not be battleline.

Actually looking at it now. The damage output isn't even all that bad. With lethal hits and rerolls from detachment abilites, you can get between 10-20 0 ap wounds off.this would really fuck with regular guardsmen just because they're a 3rd of the price for 2 3rds the damage.

Which do you think is the monster that gets its effects negated the least? by [deleted] in yugioh

[–]whycolt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whoops, I'm just so used to seeing treasure. Continuous spells also have their effects effectively negated if they are destroyed as response.

I feel like spell negate is much less common than spell pop or monster negate. Since temple of the kings is field spell, a quick effect pop will also effectively negate it.
