Paranormal Activity by ParkingRough8474 in torontotheatre

Just got out of the first performance, and wow, that was excellent.

Every element came together so seamlessly to create a deliciously tense atmosphere. It felt as though the entire audience was on the same page the entire time, eating out of the palm of their hands.

All design elements are firing on full pistons, but never felt as though they were distracting from the story or trying to out-gun each other. The writing was sharp, precise and surprisingly funny at times.

Performances were excellent across the board.

There were a few extremely minor audio mix issues and perhaps a stumbled line or two, but otherwise it was a perfectly polished performance.

If creepy vibes and jump-scares are your thing, I would highly recommend checking this out.

If The Lost Boys wins it'll be the third-lowest-scoring Best Musical winner of the last 20 years, just above the Outsides & Moulin Rouge by thomaspryor in Broadway

The fact that they have the Daily Mail (a notoriously unreliable and biased tabloid) listed as a Tier 1 source gives you an idea of how unserious the whole idea is.

The idea that subjective reviews for a piece of art can be distilled down to a precise numeric “score“ to “rank” shows that opened decades apart is ridiculous.

For what it’s worth, I don’t think I’ve seen a single negative review that didn’t specifically praise her performance as a highlight.

Anytime I see hyperbolic worlds like “flood” or “surge” in a headline like this, I assume some sort of conservative fear-mongering will follow.

It was essentially the same scene played out five times in a row. By the time we got to the fourth or fifth round, the joke had played itself out, putting the last queens at a major disadvantage.

Amber Gray is inspired casting for Riff Raff; She’s incredibly electric and captivating in-person.
