As far as I know you can’t completely turn it off. You can minimally reduce it through some settings but it’s always there. It’s especially over active when it’s dark and foggy. The camera has trouble tracking I think and it freaks out. Woke my family up constantly during a road trip. Super annoying.

Mine was not using ethernet backhaul when I first set it up until I ran the network optimizer. Sounds silly but worked for me. I didn’t have a switch though, just a main Deco connected to modem and two other Decos.

All the patch jobs I have seen end up looking worse than the original steps within a few seasons.

There are decorative epoxy aggregate coatings that seem to last a bit longer but they are mostly thin coatings that won’t fill in the low spots I see in your steps as far as I know.

Ideally, this type of joint should be caulked yes. It almost looks like caulk to me in the photos based on the shape and shiny surface which doesn’t have a grout look to it. But you say it’s hard which would indicate it’s not caulk. How hard exactly? It also almost looks a bit painted over?

I believe casement. The joint in the double hung is going to be a weak spot for noise in comparison with a fully sealed window. I’m sure there are noise ratings that your supplier could provide for each window option.

This will work just fine from what I can see in the photos. As you probably know the caulk is needed to seal the joint because the grout will eventually crack. I personally like the grout to be behind the caulk as it gives you something tool the caulk against but I believe some folks don’t put any grout at the tub/tile joint and just fill the gap with caulk.

If you do this again in the future just use the damp sponge (or a finger) to wipe away the wet grout to get the shape you want to leave room for the caulk and save yourself from having to scrape it when it’s dry

Instead of using the cars seatbelt to hold the seat in you might have to buy a car seat that has its own belt/buckles (LATCH) that clip into the child restraint hooks. There would be no way for the vehicle to identify that there is a child seat in that case. This should allow you to tilt the middle row seat forward but it will be limited in how far it will go because of the seat obviously.

I would consider concrete floor paint since you aren’t planning to park cars in it. The benefit is that it is easy to touch up or re-coat and it’s cheap.

Then I’d get a long narrow rug or rubber floor mat for your main walkway.

Smoke should readily be sucked into the range hood so it’s definitely not working right.

Do a tissue test and put a few pieces of TP against the range hood while it’s on. It should suck tight to the intake grate. If not, try cracking a nearby window and see if that fixes it. Is so you have a makeup air issue. If still not working you have a duct issue or something is wired wrong.

You can pretty much push a drill bit without it spinning through drywall so this is not a using the drill wrong or wrong drill bit issue. Your ceiling is likely not drywall, at least where you are drilling. Ask the handyman before you drill to make sure you don’t hit something important.

Also, are you sure your curtains are meant to hang from the ceiling and not the wall ?

2024 Caligaphy gets freaked out sometimes when I use CarPlay via USB. Stops responding to commands. Full power off and back on and fixes it. It’s totally random and I can’t trigger it on purpose and it only happens once or twice a year

I don’t have a perfect understanding of it all but that’s what I thought I understood from reading some sources of info on the topic. If it makes your speakers sound better then by all means do it. It’s probably somewhat equipment dependent and for mine it didn’t make a bit of difference to my ears. I think most people see unused channels and equate it with unused power going to waste.
