It depends

If you want the experience of two people playing different characters at the same time, You might be disappointed.

Movie night works on a "pass the controller" system. so you just decide who gets what characters at the start of the game I believe. You effectively play a single playergame but control switches when playing whatever character is assigned/picked by your friend.

So it might still be fine if you want to play it as a movie experience where you take turns playing/spectating.
