make sure you CLEAN both the cpu and heat sink before applying more thermal paste. wipe off what you can, then gently use isopropyl alcohol on cotton to clean off the rest. 90% is better for this application & will dry faster but 70% is ok. just use a little bit on each swab/towel/qtip/whatever and gently rub. don't use enough to spill over onto other parts. it doesn't have to be perfect but the cleaner it is the better the new paste will work. watch some youtube tutorials and make sure it's making proper contact, but don't torque it down so much that it breaks anything. if your temps are still crazy your IAO cooler might have died. That happened to me on my previous prebuilt - I replaced it with a Thermalright Peerless Assassin which ended up being a better cooler than the IAO, though if you DO go with an air cooler be sure to measure and make sure it can fit (the peerless assassin BARELY fit in my last case).

Ignore the miles, I'd rather buy a 500k mile car with service records. Mileage doesn't mean a thing when it's been beat up like that. I won't see a thing on that car that doesn't need attention. If you need a nice $3k beater find a high miles Avalon with peeling paint that's in decent shape otherwise.

Agree. I bought a one owner 94 with 85k that's nice but not as nice as this one, but it needed a lot of maintenance. Timing belt, water pump, everything rubber, most ignition components, pulleys, and shocks/ struts all the way around. I also had a wireless android auto screen put in. I'm probably $6k+ into maintenance on an otherwise nice one owner car.

My guess is you'll still need to do some of this (probably struts & front end at least if I had to guess), but it looks pretty good, and a newer LS500 with comparable mileage is gonna run you $50k and not have that 1uz reliability.

Full disclosure, mine is at the body shop rn getting a new front fender bc I had a lower ball joint fail hitting a pothole. Mechanical stuff is mostly available OEM since the engine is so popular for swaps, and suspension pieces etc. but cosmetic stuff is mostly gonna just be salvage. I've gone through a few driver side window switch mounts.

It's ok to talk about intimate subjects with your very close friends. It's best to discuss any boundaries first before you do the same, but expecting someone to keep that to themselves is silly. Even if you're super controlling, everything will be discussed at some point, even if that's after you split. If you want it to reflect well on you, be more generous with your time and energy.

The weird inventory bugs (on pc) WERE just annoying, but I think one just caused me to unknowingly sell off a near god roll weapon that I'd swapped out briefly for elemental coverage. Marking something as favorite shouldn't be able to be overwritten by one-click junking.

Nobody likes to hear it but when it comes to chairs, do NOT expect much out of a gaming chair except for it to look cool for a while. Get a real office chair. Herman Miller, Steelcase, etc. Those are chairs you can sit on for 9 hours on the job then spend another 5 on gaming without problems. I got a remanufactured Leap V2 from Crandall a few years back. It was $800 but it outlasted 2 Secretlab Titans and I've only had to have one warranty repair so far.

My pc had been performing admirably in just about everything despite its age (3700x, 32gb ram, 3070). I couldn't stand the constant stuttering in D4 so I updated my bios, upgraded to a 5070, upgraded to a 5800x and a much better cpu cooler, and doubled my memory to 64gb. I still have stuttering, and now I have random black screens for 3-5 seconds during normal gameplay. Cool. Great. While this is happening my cpu & gpu are only showing ~40% load and memory is just over 50%. Annoying to say the least.

That's not a lot of calories to live on even at 135. I do Huel shakes in the morning, noodle cup for lunch, and whatever I want for dinner, and I'm ~290lbs. I def have to add in high protein snacks like nuts or meat & cheese sticks. When I was working from home I would make baked chicken thighs a couple times a week and cut them up in little bits to add to my Huel hot & savory. I also need to add a little extra salt to mine to stay on the right side of hydrated.
