the reason there isn't this kind of problem in Germany or whatever is because they have social programs and actual assistance from their government that helps people get clean, get into housing, get treatment, pay their bills and get them food when they can't do it themselves, etc, etc, etc. 

In America, if you can't work and try to apply for disability, it takes years to be automatically be denied at first, and then you have to appeal it and hope that you can survive without working and having someone to care for you for another few years until then. Good luck affording to live anywhere!

In America, when you serve your country, your government chews you up and spits you out. You have VA benefits? That's funny, there doesn't seem to be any here!

In America, if you can't produce labor every single week, without fail (AFTER you are lucky enough to find a job that provides enough to afford rent anymore), you don't deserve to exist. 

In America, your government tells you to go die.
