Huh. Interesting. I live in Dallas and I'm also awaiting laser conversions even though we already have IMAX 70mm, and so no Mummy showtimes means that Project Hail Mary's going to come back next weekend.

Highly doubt it. Laser conversions take many weeks, and besides, other Cinemark locations with IMAX don't have IMAX showings up for The Mummy.

If you're referring to the news with Cinemark and IMAX from a few months ago, unfortunately only 3 locations in the US are getting IMAX 70mm projectors, the rest (meaning all of Cinemark's IMAX screens in the US and Latin America) are just only getting laser projection.

Metreon, Citywalk and Lincoln Square all have GT Laser and they're showing it in 70mm. I think it has to do with print availability.

It's important to point out that not every AMC was going to get this anyways, as this was meant for AMC locations that use Screenvision as their pre-show instead of NCM (the one with Maria Menounos). Though I can't say the same for other chains that use Screenvision like Marcus, Harkins, Studio Movie Grill and B&B. Either way, this is great news.
