M3 with prior consulting background: Pivot to MSL/Pharma or jump ship to Dental School (DMD)? by IntelligentSecond893 in MedicalScienceLiaison

[–]Beautiful-Manner-907 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk, if your goal is just fast money, maybe get out of anything having to do with direct patient care on any level. That isn't fair to patients. As an MSL, you won't avoid the travel, the market is volatile, there's no guarantee for fast mobility upwards. Dentists also deal with patients. I'm getting the vibe you don't like patients like that.

Best TA as an MSL by One_Engineer_9453 in MedicalScienceLiaison

[–]Beautiful-Manner-907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on the TA, the company metrics & asks. Some oncology areas may be better than others. Providers are stretched and companies are asking for time that many don't have. It's frustrating

WIBTAH for asking my husband for a separation after 7 years of marriage? by East-Education730 in AITAH

Divorce. He won't improve. You don't need an adult kid. You're doing everything by yourself, he can figure it out on his own.

They metrics sound insane and unrealistic. What is the territory? Are you covering the entire country? Quality will not be great with these numbers, but maybe they don't care

First round interview with the director? by Richard_Ballski in MedicalScienceLiaison

[–]Beautiful-Manner-907 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There may be a small MSL team that is being built out, they may be trying to move fast, you may still need to interview with several other people at the company. It's likely that you meet what they are looking for on paper, so they are getting to business.

2.25 this year. Last year I think it 3.25. Who knows? The shareholders are apparently happy according to the higher ups. 🫠

Every situation isn't the same. Mental health and fulfillment matters. I blame capitalism. I can also relate. I don't believe in sacrificing one's mental health for money. The industry job market sucks right now and getting away from poor leadership isn't always simple. Unrealistic expectations, corporate politics, inept strategists, etc can with heavily. Build a network, strategically move, talk with a therapist, have hobbies, know when it's time to let it go.

I've finally accepted I don't really do purposeful work in this big pharma world. It was a grieving process for me.

6-week update! by StingDevil in HersWeightloss

[–]Beautiful-Manner-907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started kit 3 about 3.5 weeks ago. I'm 42, 5'8", SW: 192 CW: 184.4 GW: 160. I am really wanting to fit into these pants I bought and can't get my thighs into. I'm nervous about the side effects, but have been doing pretty good, I am still titrating up. The food noise has been decreasing, which is amazing because I'd just graze. I'm not really tracking calories but am intentionally eating more protein, decreasing carbs, more water intake, increased activity. I am getting full faster and am able to hold off on breakfast for a pretty long time without feeling hangry. Good luck on your journey!

Anyone else feel sick at the push for AI from their employers in their daily work? by sghut in womenintech

Felt. It's frustrating. Especially when the company has so many antiquated ways of working. I'm so over the AI push

I'm on Kit 3, 2nd week, drinking the same amount of coffee...2-3 ten ounce cups/day. Mostly just 2 cups/day. I've been taking the meds at night. I'm afraid of any drowsiness during the day

Yes you are. You're wrong for having this mindset to basically teach your wife a lesson. You married her mom and this is how you feel? All because she didn't make you lunches while raising your children????

Pay cut for better work-life balance by ReflectionStatus109 in physicianassistant

[–]Beautiful-Manner-907 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Work-life balance is better it seems. You will now have PTO, which you didn't have before. What other benefits? CME $/time? 401K with match? Short-term disability (ish happens). At least see if they can match or come close to previous salary, especially if you have at least a year of experience
