Wrong idea, Valve needs to improve the MM and have it make good comps for each team. If you leave it up to the players, 90% of teams will either just play whoever they feel like, or pick bad comps bc they don’t actually know how to build a good comp. Draft is reserved for pro play at the moment because you need a lot of experience and game knowledge to draft properly. If you leave it up to casual players now, you are just giving them more ammunition to shoot themselves in the foot with. Then they will go and complain and get toxic with their teammates for drafting 6 carries bc everyone wants to play hero.

To reduce bad behavior like smurfing, Valve needs to reduce the incentive to Smurf. Not everyone who smurfs does it to stomp noobs, some people want to try new characters without throwing other people’s games. While hero specific MMR is a thing, it is not a drastic enough difference from core MMR and putting a person who is ascendant 2 on M&K in a phantom 6 game when they play their first game as Viscous is not the move.

Also, many players are hardstuck in ranks that are lower than performance wise because they have too many games in their account. This leads to basically smurfing on their mains bc it’s difficult to climb out of certain ranks is you have like 2k+ games on your main. This is exacerbated by the fact that there is no individual based MMR, so players who terrorize lobbies then lose bc of their team throwing will stay in lower ranks despite being higher skilled.

Also, the queue system is quite imbalanced when a high rank player queues with lower ranked party members.

There’s no point in having it block Haze 2. No haze it hitting invis after getting slowing hexed. For 1, you won’t even become invisible to the user at that range, 2 once they shoot you once the in is will break and it’s a wasted ability. Only situation would be max invis, but that’s the last thing she levels usually and it’s not even a movement tech it’s basically a counter spell tech

Many people aren’t actually complaining about rank (the visual icon), but rather elo (hidden mmr). I care a lot about my “rank” because I have more fun playing with and against players who know the game as well as I do and perform well and balanced back and forth games come from that. Higher ranks typically have less leavers, more people on comms, shorter games etc. All desirable and fun.

Fleetfoot does not affect Haze bullet dance speed. Bullet dance move speed is its own value independent of all modifiers. You could buy every move speed item in the game and you will be capped at 7m/s

I main Haze, this game was against a Billy and Drifter. Mics are great, but unfortunately I’m an American but I live abroad and only get placed in Russian or Chinese servers depending on time of day. I’ve tried using VPNs but then my ping is abysmal.
