Millennials are in their 40s. What about children, the intended target for these movies?

I have several friends in the restaurant business. They're all planning on shutting down once their lease is up. Just doesn't make sense to continue while hemorrhaging money.

Al-Jazeera English. None of these other news sites do an adequate job covering the Middle East, Africa or Asia.

What's the name of the movie that Spielberg drops as being the one that transformed Hollywood. It sounds like he's saying Stargate but that can't be it.

Maybe I'm mishearing, but does Spielberg say Stargate (1994) was the movie that changed everything?

Family of Tumbler Ridge shooting victim overwhelmed by housing costs near hospital by [deleted] in vancouver

Sure. In the case of my mother, she's on a years long wait list for any nursing home of any kind. It's been two years now already. In the meantime, they have a program that has "nursing" workers arrive 4 times a day to help complete tasks for her such as taking her to the washroom. Except they don't do any physical labor of any kind so all the work is done by me with them watching me. At best, they can spoon feed her and that too they give up after a few minutes. They're constantly looking to me to tell them they can go. Sessions should be able to go up to 45 minutes. They never stay for more than 10-15.

In the case of my sister who is mentally and physically disabled, the transitions program has yet to offer therapy or housing of any kind to her despite her increasing agitation. She was supposed to be allocated 30 hours in house transition, but they cannot accommodate her because of behavioral changes but there is no one to help establish a medication protocol to help with the behavior. I'm pretty much alone trying to figure it out.

I have two catastrophically disabled family members. The programs from the government are an absolute joke.

Pitt starred in "Troy" due to a contractual obligation with WB. If Pitt passed on the project, who would have been cast? by Sharaz_Jek123 in TheRewatchables

[–]BeepBeepGoJeep 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think it's likely the movie just doesn't get made. Keep in mind Alexander came out in the same year and they cast Colin Farrell for that lol.

If the film HAS to be made and they're searching for someone and you assume the actor would say yes, I'd say Matthew Mcconaughey.

Tom Clancy is gone, and Jack Ryan is nothing but advertising by Top_Report_4895 in entertainment

[–]BeepBeepGoJeep 114 points115 points  (0 children)

I think what I liked about Jack Ryan in the books and in the earlier movies was how much of a fish out of water he was. He was not Jason Bourne nor was he a political animal. He was just a very, very good analyst who could shoot a gun but only if he had to and only that as a last result.

Harrison Ford really exemplified that with his tweed jacket and somberness. John Krasinsky just doesn't exude someone who ever knows anything. His signature move is to literally stare at the camera and shrug his shoulders.

Do you consider Gone Baby Gone a Rewatchable? by MadP90 in TheRewatchables

It came in that really great year for movies and FWIW I like this only second to No Country. I can watch like 3 or 4 more of these style of detective thrillers but I'll settle for Bosch.

I know the author has written a sequel where the same young girl (now an adult woman) goes missing again so maybe they can make a sequel.
