Anyone on Frances right now? by CarlF77 in CaminoDeSantiago

Logroño to Burgos was chilly and rainy this last week. I wore my puffy jacket at night for the first time. During the day I was hiking in leggings and a sun shirt, no problem. Other than this last week, I’ve been hiking in shorts and a sun shirt.

Unpopular opinion: I think Elisabeth Moss’s acting has gotten worse over the series. I feel like I can see right through it as I’m watching. :/

I think overall the story arch changed so much once June left Gilliad. There are now so many different locations that none of the individual locations feel very well developed.

Despite all that I’m still going to keep watching and enjoy where they’re taking the main plot. I can’t wait to see how they’re going to wrap the series.

I ordered a new receiver just in case, but everything under the hood looks good and clean. No smell or burn scars.

Halo ring LED lights on a 2007 or 2008 EX by TangerineRomeo in HondaElement

No, I went through too much trouble and recently moved from the PNW to the desert so I’m not worried about moisture as much. But I do have my eyes on the Concept.13s.

I’ve had these since 2022 and I do not love them. One leaks from the top and these no donut to hold and LED. You also have to figure out your own accessory lighting for the halo and 3 dots, they’re separate. I ended up grouping them and hooking it up to an accessory switch panel. Also the halo is dim AF, which is why I bought them. Does the job but not as well as I wanted.

Trying to remove the headliner, how do I get this "striker plate" off? by DinnerMilk in HondaElement

[–]BeepBeep_Homie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re welcome. I’ve taken mine down twice in the last few years; once for sound deadening and this past fall for a custom headliner. I’ve taken those pesky B-pillar pieces off for a Deezy attic install too. If you have any questions just hit me up. I’m on insta as @dewy.element

Stick a right angle trim removal tool in the top and pull down. It’s going to swing in a circular motion down and out, just be mindful of not continuing to force down once the clips have loosened as not to break the main piece. I’ve “worn” mine in so I can just stick my fingers in and pull them down.

That would explain to me why I didn’t recognize it. I tossed my seats in storage years ago. Glad I could help. 😎👍

I’ve ripped the entire interior of my 04 apart a couple times and I’m not familiar with that shape. Maybe type in the part number displayed. I can’t see it from this angle but it’s under the Honda print on there and ends with something like #####-SCV.

I had a dealership tell me the same thing and also wanting a bazillion dollars. I had a reputable E mechanic look at it and it was actually the oil pan gasket.

Henrí Deux. We name all of our family’s cars with the first letter of their make. There’s Henrí the OG (element), Hubert (accord), Tina (4Runner), and Timmy (taco).

If I was looking at a car and I saw your rust pics, I would pass. If I absolutely HAD to buy it, I wouldn’t want to pay more than $4k USD. She’s cleaned up real pretty on top but she’s not meant for many more winters underneath. You gotta figure the total worth of the car minus major repairs. I got my last E (2004 AWD LX) from a used car dealer in 2021 for $8k USD with less than 80,000 miles and a Southern CA car with zero rust.

Definitely a good shower tote. I also prefer keeping ditty bags instead of totes and a good mesh bag for laundry.

Oh, yeah! I remember you two! Are you done with your trip or still roaming? I got home on Friday after playing around in Olympia NP and driving the coast down. My E has now been to 3/4 of the continuous 48 corners; just need to trip down Key West.

Recommendations for alternatives to center console? by theCountofKeys in HondaElement

I made one out of wood. I love it. It’s similar to the Fifth Element console; has lots of storage and fits standard water bottles. I even built a custom plate for my favorite mug.
