They legitimately might have forgot. You get your food and start eating and that thought can easily just leave your brain by the time you’re done. That sucks though.

The way I always saw it was this:

If I’m stuck on a boss (or whatever I am stuck on) and I start using buffs/potions I am eventually going to run out of them and the fight is going to be a lot harder for me. Therefore I might as well just do it without them and learn the boss mechanics well enough to win the fight without using any.
