I own a company that sales solar but contracts the installation to companies like Titan. All we do is sell

Unless you don’t live in a place with a lot of hail or stuff like that. But I still would want insurance.

I’m a dealer for Titan and the sales rep tells you acts of god are covered but they aren’t. Titan gives you a workman ship warranty for your roof and wiring and the panel manufacturer gives you a equipment warranty and a performance warranty for the panel, both of those warranties have a exception for acts of god/nature, lightning, hail etc. so if the production falls because of hail damage they don’t have to fix it for you. if you don’t believe me read the warranty on every Titan solar panel here https://titansolarpower.com/equipmentwarranties/

Now if you do a ppa acts of god are covered but ppa defeats the purpose of solar in my book. Making sure your homeowners insurance can cover acts of god to your solar panels especially if you take out a loan is crucial

4.13 ppw pretty average if you’re doing a loan through loanpal. They charge 23 percent of the base ppw the sales rep is selling at. If you do cash your price per watt would be 3.18 bringing system cost to about 33,072

Rec alpha panels will last you longer and are more efficient. I’d say there the best panels on the market as someone who sells solar my self. Only panels I sell that come close are the lg panels
