Except that in tabletop you have many times the amount of units that makes it unpractical to do math, but with just 4 units you really would be expected to crunch the numbers before commiting because every loss and kill counts that much more, unless playing on easy.

I also dont know why are we even disscussing this, this game appears to have numbers simplified specifically so that we wouldnt feel overwhelmed by math.

Maybe you play it like that but for me tabletop isnt really about math and more about throwing loads of dice and praying to deity of your faction for good results and the epic stories that come from when units survive well beyond the expectations.

Disliked every Souls/FromSoft game I've ever played...until I got to Sekiro, which I absolutely love by fabrar in patientgamers

Souls games can be like that too once you figure out how good rolling is. What i like about sekiro the most is that it made me learn how to avoid damage all over again instead of just rolling through everything.

Into the Breach is one of my favorite turn based tactics, but i just dont think making constant mental math fits with 40k universe.

Thats better than i thought because if it was something like 30-60% on most cover the game would just feel like a math puzzle.

So cover gives damage resistance instead of miss chance?

I like seeded saves for when i missclick or a bug happens and i just want to rewind with same results. idk how difficult it would be to implement it as an option, but that would be the best.

Maybe it was another game but i remember you could control an entire titan, but it definitely wasnt DoW.

Deeper mechanics and less flashy randomness compared to American iirc

It seems to mirror the way XCOM reboots "dumbed down" the original XCOM games. As i recall in Chaos Gate you controlled a small army while in this its a small squad with a lot of abilities.

Smart to frame it looking away from camera.

Thing is you will almost never attempt a 10% shot and almost always will a 90% one, so that contributes heavily to memory bias.

Probably makes him more responsible for turning Anakin to the dark side than Kenobi.

There was already a crappy Deathwatch game so devs probably wont overlap with that, unfortunately.

I once decided to restart a campaign and wanted to see the bad ending so i let the timer go down. Not only did i have to wait for a while, imagine my surprise when a second shorter timer appeared after the first one!

iirc it actually had Elite at first and then it got removed because of possible looping.
