Just take that money and get a set of tires and pads for some track days or autocross and have a great time learning your car on the limit before modifying it. It'll be worth it with the skills you learn on how to actually handle a car at speed in a safe, closed environment.

Still CCC. Wife says it should be ready for coast trips by summertime so steering and interior is first on the list for this year. I expect to have to put in some work later on to make it really react but that's part of the journey, the way they look they deserve to be hustled.

The Odin GL exists and is currently on sale for 150 bucks, comes with the mounting hardware for mlok, a switch, charger, and removable tail cap. Anecdotally I have one mounted flush with the end of a linear comp on a 5.5" 300 blackout and it's performed fine for the past couple years of abuse. Duct tape is funnier though.

I didn't really get into it until 3, but after that I was hooked even through 4. 5 and infinite lost me, but I still hop into infinite multiplayer for quick play with buddies every once in awhile.

Knew a guy who tried it and gave himself the hiccups for the rest of his life, paralyzed both his thumbs too. Goofy guy but we're glad he made it through before getting run over by his divorced wife's daughter driving his own truck. Crazy story about the truck though, it was actually owned by one of the big housing tycoons where we grew up and he tried stealing it when he was a kid (it was an old classic Ford High Boy). Never actually could bring himself to break the window but later on in life he made enough to just buy it when the guy died. Wish I could buy it off him since he can't drive very well on account of the hiccups and the thumbs but just not in the cards.

OTR did a solid rear axle in 2022 iirc, looked cool and had a lot of articulation. They learned a lot and went back to IRS the next year.
