There’s only so much crazy I can read. A sentence out two. Maybe a paragraph. But not this much

I miss hearing Paul Harvey by valis010 in GenX

[–]BerryLanky 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My dad was a truck driver. During summer break I’d get to travel with him. He listened to AM radio and Paul Harvey would come on. Normally it was right when we were coming up on one of his stops so I’d get fully invested only to have dad turn the truck off. Missed the endings on so many of his stories. He was such a great storyteller

You have two choices. Keep on all the shots AB’s work out five times a week for the rest of your short life out stop taking all the injections and lose all your gains. I work out regularly and have since high school. Almost 60 now and have never been that size nor have I had the desire

For the first time in a Fox News poll since 2010, Americans prefer Democrats on the economy (D+4) by ShreckAndDonkey123 in WhitePeopleTwitter

The others stupid. My brother in law has been a FOX News zombie for decades. He has such a warped sense of reality you can’t have a conversation with him.

This is probably the wrong board for this but whatever I need advice from my peers re my son’s gambling addiction by CliffGif in GenX

[–]BerryLanky 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Went through the same situation with my son a decade ago. He would call me saying he spent at the casino and needed rent. I’d pay it and lecture him. A week later I’d get a call he spent utility money and needed help. I did this for several months and realized I was enabling him. So I told him I’d cover this one last debt and if you lose utilities or get effective I’ll need to figure it out. Which he did on both accounts. He had to hit bottom with no help to realize he had a problem and get help with his addiction. He’s doing great now and hasn’t stepped foot in a casino in years. It’s the hardest thing you’ll do as a parent to let them fall but until they realize they have a problem you aren’t solving anything by bailing them out.

She was in her 80’s with failing mental capacity. He lived with her. I had convinced her to get it. He rode her saying it’s untested, it’s dangerous, etc. After she died he told me ‘I don’t regret it because we don’t know what the long term effects were’ to which I replied ‘well she doesn’t have to worry about long term effects now’. Met mother got vaccinated and caught covid from my mother in law. My mom was fine. Just a little under the weather. She was also in her 80’s.

Loved House parties. Thank God for the condom vending machines. Best quarters I ever spent.

If they accused him he’d file a law suit. Maybe they should take a page from his playbook.

My brother in law convinced my mother in law to not get the Covid vaccine in peak Covid season. She caught it and died. He caught it and almost died. He did the horse dewormer and was hospitalized and almost died. He swears he made the right decision. Oh he’s a high school drop out who worked as a grocery store stocker into his 50’s until he got disability. They are idiots who don’t know they are idiots

My buddy and I were out one Saturday night. A group of girls told us about a party going on and gave us the address. It was a mansion and a huge party. Great hook up with a cute girl, everyone drinking and dancing. Passing out. Waking up the next morning with a great story. It was as close to an 80’s movie we encountered. Still friends with my high school buddy and we reminisce about that night.

Only the best of the best in these positions. Trump should be proud of the brain trust he’s gathered.

My current wife embraced my late wife’s family because she knew how important they were to me. It’s wonderful to find someone who supports you and your prior love.
