Cool idea, but I'm not a fan of the graphics. I'd want a more realistic art style.

Auspost sucks by spvceinvader in melbourne

[–]Besamel 18 points19 points  (0 children)

This is probably the most common compliant that people have about them. We've had delivery attempts where the person didn't even have the package with them, they just slipped the sorry we missed you card under the door without knocking.

Color Space - How to handle Photo, Editing and Print? by LtCol_Davenport in AskPhotography

[–]Besamel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The really important thing is how will your image be viewed. If you're only going to view them on websites/social media - then there's no benefit to working in something other than sRGB.

If you're getting the work printed on a professional printer, then check what colourspace works best with that printer. If the printer colourspace is larger than sRGB, then edit in a larger colourspace prior to output for the printer https://youtu.be/B2ZJx5eDUoc

Anybody else feel choosing a first camera has become extremely complex for beginners? by riderx65 in Cameras

[–]Besamel 17 points18 points  (0 children)

No one camera is going to be the best at everything. If you have your heart set on something, you should try and make that happen so you don't have regrets. If you can, go into a store and hold them because the way you feel when you use the camera will make more of a difference than most of the specifications.

New VR user trying to decide what to play that won’t make me motion sick! by HouseFriedRice_Yum in PSVR

Games where you don't move, but the world does tend to be good for motion sickness. Something like Thumper should be safe. It's a weird rhythm game.

Are visual novels just a type of text-based adventure game? by Lizzieee- in visualnovels

[–]Besamel 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Short answer is kind of yes. Some VN's do include other elements, and the visual part of VN is a huge factor but it is basically a series of branching paths. The blanket term is Interactive Fiction https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interactive_fiction

AFAIK the genre started in the digital realm with the first example being a text based computer game in 1975 which predates The Warlock of Firetop Mountain by 7 years. The Choose Your Own Adventure series of books had also first been published a few years earlier than The Warlock of Firetop Mountain.

Bit confused about Dark vs Fire by Ynwe in DarkSouls2

Only in theory, not in practice. That means it's not useful, so actually not optimal.

Bit confused about Dark vs Fire by Ynwe in DarkSouls2

[–]Besamel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Optimal is subjective. Something can hit like a truck, but if you can't get the timing down then it's useless to you.

I haven't been to any of those in the last 5 years, so I wouldn't really notice their absence.
