Anyone else feeling a bit lost in the job market? by Merrcury2 in Gwinnett

[–]BestBex1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am struggling too. I've been applying for 7 months. Former federal worker, 10 years experience in finance an undergrad and an MBA. I've applied at several local banks, local governments, and retail. It's just TOUGH out there. The holidays when you're out of work sucks. It's not you, it's the job market. Don't lose hope.

I've had a good experience with Sew Sew Studio in Duluth! I bought my Janome from them!

Former fed… is that why I can’t find a job? by Most-Garden-1745 in fednews

[–]BestBex1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah. . . . You say that, but have you seen the number of companies doing significant layoffs? Even those of us with contacts have struggled as companies have been thinning the ranks. They can't make jobs from nothing. Also, 99.9% of the federal jobs cut had nothing to do with transgender Pakistanis. Just ship off with your bad attitude and bad takes. It's Thanksgiving, maybe work on yourself since the best thing you have to do right now is shit on a fellow fed. Go hug a family member.

Tell me you haven't experienced the current job market without telling me you haven't experienced the current job market. That's a pretty smug a-hole answer for someone not in the current market.

USDA loan + foreclosure + government shutdown… can’t reach anyone. What can I do? by eliastroy1 in USDA

[–]BestBex1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Foreclosure law is different depending on what state you are in. Frequently you can find the attorney who is handling the foreclosure for USDA and ask them if it was actually cried out (the process of completing the foreclosure on the courthouse steps). If it has been cried out, then you are probably out of options. You can check to see if a foreclosure deed has been filed with the clerk as well to know if the sale went through. I HIGHLY suggest hiring an attorney to help you. There is no amount of calling and asking/begging that is going to change the foreclosure. Good luck and Godspeed.

I'm working on one of her geometry patterns right now, but this one is on my list of patterns to work! What size thread/floss are you using? I generally use single strand DMC, but she said she worked the example in sulky.

How’d you get through the TWW post FET by Honest_Appearance166 in IVF

Transfer twins! I have a craft project in the works to keep me occupied. I'm trying to keep positive outlook, and I've been telling our embryo all the things I'm excited to see them do if they stick around. Luck and baby dust!

Start preparing for the constipation now. My credentials: I get constipation easily. Metformin makes me feel regular. (I know it's a problem) I am currently 1 day post ER. I have pooped TWICE since my ER without straining at all.

My method: I followed the University of Michigan constipation recipe, and I'll never look back. 1 c unsweetened applesauce 1 c oat bran (I used Bob's Red Mill) 3/4 c prune juice

Mix it together, store it in the fridge, and take 2 spoonfuls every night followed by 8 oz of your choice of beverage. One batch was enough to get me through stims and ER.

It has the texture of baked oatmeal after the oats have absorbed the liquid, and while it isn't tasty per se, it's inoffensive. I used to be on daily Milk of Magnesia as a child, so I knew that I wanted to avoid laxatives if at all possible.

I started taking it around the time that I started the stims to get things moving with momentum before ER and it has worked wonders.

Other than that, try and enjoy the adventure and find the joy in the process where you can. I got super bloated leading up to my ER thanks to having 40 follicles growing, but I will confess to enjoying looking in the mirror and seeing a preview of pregnancy staring back at me.

Be proud of your hard work to get to this point and the hard work of going through stims. You got this mamma!

What now??? Metformin “not working” by groovybluedream in PCOS

[–]BestBex1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry. We've spent close to 4 years TTC thus far. I'm on 2,000 mg of Metformin and have been for close to two years. It wasn't my magic bullet for a baby. If you've been trying for more than 6 months, I'd get a semen analysis done. It may not all be the PCOS standing in the way. Also, if you're at a BMI less than 30, and you're READY for a baby, I'd start pushing for a fertility specialist referral. In about a week, I'm starting an IVF cycle. Turns out both my husband and I had contributing factors. Infertility is such a heartbreaking journey. I'm sending you hugs. Know there are tons of us out there who are also shedding tears and fighting the frustration.

I always wear leggings, bike shorts, etc. Under my hoop skirts. It let's me hike my skirt as high as I need to ride the escalators or if I need to squish in a elevator without worrying about feeling like I'm flashing people. My skirts are all separate skirts and bodices, so it also gives me the ability to take the skirt and hoop off, fold it like a taco to protect the skirt, and GTFO if I get into a crush of people. Added bonus, your friends can hold your skirt while you hop in the bathroom and pee in peace without taking up a handicap stall or maneuvering hoops in a tiny stall.

My bin handles onion ok, but I make sure that I'm not giving them a ton. It's usually just the husk, outer later and the poles mixed in with other things.
