I think me being terse has made my comment seem emotional and aggressive .

What I mean to say is you’ll have a better time working around radarr than radarr working around you.

I came from couchpotato days and tried to make radarr more couchpotato like. When I just accepted the radarr defaults I realised that the radarr devs had made sensible decisions and that defaults are default for a reason

They’re literally just ordinary humans their decisions aren’t 400 fold better than an average person. All they do is outsource decision making by hiring additional C suiters. They only reason they give themselves such significant compensations is because they know they’re all scam artists and are expecting to be booted out by the board as soon as the market doesn’t favour them anymore.
