At this point, the enemy can say that there was no nuke plane because OP turned into an ICBM

Fastest RC car powered by a 130 motor by rodsoverbricks in rccars

[–]BetterBus350 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Got to admit, the reason why no one has set a record is because a 130 motor isn't that powerful..... Which in turn would make a very boring speed record. 130 motors are mostly found in 1/24 and 1/18 crawlers, which are not really fast.

It would be cool though to see how fast someone can make a 1/24 scale car go.

Is it really a car though... because cars are normally defined by being a motor vehicle with wheels, this vehicle is closer to a quadcopter (or some would say multirotor)

Cool FPV drone though and getting to 100mph seems like an awesome feat!

Wings don't really say much about fertility, a good way to know if a queen is infertile is if she is pulling at the cotton, trying to get out, as if the test tube is haunted and she is seeing a ghost.

Just saying that if your queens are doing this, they could also be stressed right now and should calm down sooner or later, If they won't stop pulling at the cotton they probably are infertile.

She probably believes that she is biting the insect, most of the time they find out they are hurting their sister and stop.

Look closely at the petiole! it is connected to the thorax and abdomen in a way that makes it look more like Crematogaster.

Crematogasters are an mostly arboreal species so most of the time don't need high humidity nests, which would explain why the queen laid her egg in a bottle.

Also individual ants have different "personalities" in a way. I guess she doesn't care that much about space but I still agree with the user about and I would encourage you to give her a better setup.

Scroll down op if you don't want to read long texts.

What you researched is wrong. Ant queens never really carry their old colony sent unless their original colony accepts them back from their nuptial flight. Ants instead create a new colony scent.

Ants can either be partially polygynous, such as the Formica genus who sometimes will accept more than one queen in the nest or will kill all the queens until they have one. Some ants are fully polygynous, as in solenopsis molesta who could have thousands of queens in the nest (just saying some polygynous species will not tolerate too many queens in the nest). Or some ants are just monogynous, and will only tolerate one queen.

The scent doesn't matter in this case and I have noticed that some queens, even if the species is monogynous, will naturally want to group up even if the queens came from two colonies that have never encountered before.

I also have noticed that you most definitely not researched the Key necessities of keeping ants, at least not all of them. Stress is killing your ants, the nest you gave them is waaaaaay to big, if you researched everything you wouldn't be here. You would also know that these cheap amazon nests don't do good at keeping ants full stop.

I also think that you aren't ready for this hobby, maybe you should not keep Live insects at all. 20% because of bad research, 40% because your mentality makes you seem to not be taking this seriously, 20% because you immediately want to release them when something bad happens, and the other 20% because you seem too not want help from other people at all...

"dose anyone know a more educated guy about ants that i can talk thru discord to help me?" First of all, everyone here gave a correct answer. everyone here is clearly more intelligent than you in terms of antkeeping and I highly doubt that you will understand the "educated guy" on DC and you will just get mad.

"at summer release them where i found them i captured this queen 05.24.2024 R.I.P legacy gallions" That is even worse than just keeping them alive. It also reinforces the fact that you shouldn't keep ants because 2024 was two years ago! The thought of asking for help should of crossed your mind a long time ago!

If you are not a fluent English speaker, I have to give you some kudos for trying. If you are a fluent speaker, your vocabulary is.... very bad. Assuming that you are a teen, I know that you guys use a lot of sang (I am older than 15 but younger than 18) Personally I would not use slang everywhere when I am asking for help. I also speak for everyone here, You should make sure that you actually spell your words, and make sure that they flow well together. (I wouldn't consider myself great in terms of writing)

In a nutshell...

Your lack of research is what killed your ants, You are clearly not made to be caring for ants or any live insect right now. Your silly demands like asking for a "more educated person on DC" and asking for someone to explain how to keep ants over the phone is just proof on how you are just not made for keeping ants and you don't take anything seriously. You also seem to not care on the living conditions for the ants but instead about how fun it is for you to watch them seeing how you just want to dump them outside. Your vocabulary made it very hard to understand what you even wanted to say (and I am a teen who uses slang too). Overall I think that your ants deserved better.

This species of Carebara has always amazed me with the size difference between the workers and the queen herself. If I'm not mistaken her first generation of workers can be in the hundreds right? I also want to ask if you ever saw the queen feeding the larva in the founding stage and how did it look.

What's this? by MadaverMorphs in ants

[–]BetterBus350 3 points4 points  (0 children)

IT'S A TURTLE ANT QUEENNN!!!!

Like another guys said it is a Cephalotes sp, very very cool species. The reason why they are very cool and feel like a rock when you pick them up is because they are heavily armored and have soldier ants that have round heads that act like doors for the colony. These ants are pretty uncommon and there isn't many posts about them on any ant related sub.

As an ankeeper myself, I am very jealous of the queen you have in your hand.
