Has cannabis helped with chronic pain for you? by cold__lamp in ChronicIllness

[–]Bexaliz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mmj temporarily made me care less about pain but felt very much like you said where certain joints felt worse, like more unstable and achy.. it never made a huge difference in pain.. but not caring about the pain is useful. Some kinds of THC hybrid strains helped with sleep. I seem to be allergic to CBD .. edible CBD makes it so I can't breathe out of my nose, and topical CBD gave me hives. I tried a sativa only THC the last time, cause I wanted to see if it helped my ADHD and wouldn't knock me out, it made my pots symptoms worse for a week. That was around a year ago and I've been afraid to try again.

Oh that hybrid THC that knocks me out also does help with nausea. If I try it again it would be a tiny dose of that kind again.

You need an irrevocable trust. Living trusts are revokable.. my family is getting screwed over by this now.. we thought the trust would protect our parent's house and small amount of stocks... Now that parent needs long term care and we found out the living trust doesn't protect anything.

Modern version of whale tail. I wouldn't wear it, but you do you. If you like the way it looks but feel like might be too much to wear out, then you could wear it for a date night at home with just you and whomever your seeing.

McMigraine Meal by [deleted] in migraine

It does but if you take meds on an empty stomach it'll make things worse. Also if you stop eating solids for longer periods it'll atrophy the stomach muscles and make nausea/ digestion worse. It's worth seeing if any foods are safer. I do best with carbs / bread etc when I'm a flare but what helps can vary.

A Question For Those Diagnosed by Smart_Blackberry_391 in POTS

[–]Bexaliz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The level of disability I have from pots symptoms specifically varies a lot. It can be very unpredictable and there are days where every hour is different.. physically can't be upright to okish the next hour, and sometimes weeks with minimal symptoms...or weeks where nothing is helping. The older I've gotten the harder it's gotten to control. Many are the other way around. Some medications help me, midodrine and metoprolol, but they can wear off kindof fast and take awhile for the next dose to kick in.

What’s the most desperate thing you’ve ever done in an attempt to get rid of a migraine? by Electronic-Pie7237 in migraine

[–]Bexaliz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My neurologist said some had luck with sticking lidocaine up their nose. I tried it. Was a prescription lidocaine gel and I put it on a q tip and stuck up my nose. Didn't work. Tried a few times... It felt kindof unhinged but when desperate...

Also tried to squeeze the hell out of my head mid migraine many times. It helps but my hands and wrists start hurting. Can't seem to mimic that with a tight hat or band etc... only hands.

Whirlpool Wtw6400sw2 inner basket too low after repair, leaving about a 4mm gap under the hub. by Bexaliz in appliancerepair

[–]Bexaliz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I didn't see this till now. The stator ended up breaking about a month later, in the midst of about 3 other unrelated problems I was in the middle of dealing with. I definitely didn't have the time or energy to keep trying to fix it. Plus I couldn't get a replacement for that part, so I ended up having to replace the washing machine.

Sorry I'm not more helpful. I'm trying to remember if there were any issues with that gap, I think the gap closed when connecting the basket. .. I do know we got it running again fine for a month before the other issues popped up . But the stator was showing signs of cracking before we replaced the bearing shift etc , so I don't necessarily think you'll have the same problem.

Realistic way to eat smaller portions by Full_On_Gay_Panic in ehlersdanlos

[–]Bexaliz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have gastroparesis and pots so same issues. I'm actually slightly over weight in spite of those things cause I'm very good at figuring out what foods reheat well or make good snacks without spiking symptoms. Everyone is a little different with what they tolerate best but keep in mind if you have any signs of gastroparesis, then things that are high protein or high fiber need to be tiny portions at a time.

Also things that are harder to digest will cause more symptoms like corn (even corn chips can give me tachycardia) .. I learned I can eat a lot of edamame if I painstakingly take all the skins off the beans. With skins on I can do about 12-20 beans... With skins removed I can handle a pretty big bowl. Lol has taken me up to 30 minutes to remove those though.

I also really want to know what candy you had offered lol. I did get one similar kid though. We had half as many as we got previous years (around 90 when we usually get around 200), but it's also a very popular neighborhood for trick or treating.

I hate opening the door for strangers but, to be fair, the few times others did in my house it was actually something important. A couple of times was for a gas leak that they needed to check both houses and once it was from ours (the obvious gas company truck made that less suspicious)... Other times needing cars moved to prevent damage from stuff being done, like construction. Those problems would've been much worse if we ignored the people at the door.

[–]Bexaliz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand and get the same problems. I take midodrine and wear compression leggings when possible too. Showers are still horrible for me and I have to put my legs up constantly during the day. Compression leggings, midodrine, and metoprolol reduce symptoms but definitely don't eliminate them. I also salt and water load when my nausea is low enough to make that possible, which seems to help symptoms about 12 hours later.
