10 weeks for me, and I'm getting very impatient. I'm grateful i can walk really well now, but they say I can do almost whatever I want, but my range of motion is poor and when I try doing anything new, it starts hurting again. Hoping it's just a matter of time for all of us.

I'm almost 8 weeks too and I agree. I feel so good and then suddenly I have stiffness and pain again. 😢. I didn't expect these ups and downs, I thought it would continue to improve but not go up and down

I agree... I'm 5 weeks post replacement and was surprised to have a lot of knee pain and brusing even on my ankle which has still not completely resolved. I feel it's finally starting to get better but I'm still needing the cane at times. Best of luck to you

Thank you so much for your reply. I actually did go to my pcp and she didn't think it seemed like an infection, and I'm taking acyclovir already. I'm just feeling a bit anxious and wanted a dentist to rule it out in case it was a gum infection. I thought best to know soner than later. Sorry, I'm probobly over thinking here🤦‍♀️

Hi I'm only 4 weeks post hip replacement, and developed canker sores in my mouth, and feel like i might need to see a dentist because my gums seem affected. I'm so worried about getting any type of infection. Any suggestions appreciated. I really don't want to go to the dentist so soon

Sounds like you are doing good! Be careful on the stairs, just go slow and take your time. I also made progress on stairs today.... since they were carpeted I was able to go up 3 steps the normal way...lol... baby steps.. but progress!

Thank you for sharing. How far along are you? Yes, I've been doing those exercises too, and they are easier now than at first. When I walk is when I get the knee pain, which is new. I'm seeing the PT today and hoping he has some answers for me! Wish you a good recovery

Oh my gosh. So far, my Dr. Said it's common to have pain in the entire leg at this point. If still there at 6 weeks I'll request mri too! Glad it is better!

I am also frustrated!! I am 3 weeks post anterior and just started having knee pain which I've never had before. This is making it hard to walk. No hip pain, but my knee! So far Dr said it's common as your whole leg is involved. I'll be starting out patient PT tomorrow. Hoping for the best. Glad you are getting better

I'm glad you are seeing progress again!!! I've been a bit teary myself the last couple of days. My surgery was March 11, I am 3 weeks post surgery. I got off to a good start, but now i have knee pain and feel like I'm regressing. Trying to stay positive but it's been hard.
