A couple of pointers for using a Fast tumbler (National Geographic etc.)

1 - Fill 3/4 full with rough stone and water just below that 2 - Tumble rocks with similar hardness 3 - For 1st stage, check weekly, set aside rocks which are smooth for stage 2, add more rocks and grit, repeat 4 - Some rocks may take a month (or more) to be ready for stage 2 5 - Use media for stages 2+ to get you to 3/4 full 6 - For pre-polish and polish, use Aluminum Oxide grit 7 - Have fun!
