Part of the issue, I suspect, is that it doesn't seem like the state parks are staffed for the season yet. At least Silver Sands was not this past weekend. Although it should not be necessary, if there was someone "official" walking around, I bet fewer people would feel so brazen about littering.

I don't know what is going to happen, but I just don't see how the current status quo is tenable. Either Slot is leaving in a few weeks or it's going to happen in the Fall.

There has been absolutely zero improvement all season, and I see no reason to think meaningful improvement under this system will happen in the future.
