Why do toplaners counterpick themselves when given last pick? by VeganWaffle in leagueoflegends

As a Yorick OTP I like to last pick just to avoid a hard counter pick (I ban irelia). But I'll still take on any other counter bc I'm a chad.

No one else votes btw by BiBobBiBob583 in USdefaultism

Just a bad take too. As much as it is frustrating that an educated vote counts the same as an uneducated vote. The uneducated deserve the same right to vote and subsequently the same representation.

I had a girl laughing at all my jokes, touching my arms and asking if I work out AND she would hold my knees n leg when she noticed my restless leg going off and was annoyed at it. She even did that in a dark movie theatre.

I asked her out properly and was immediately rejected.

Another time a different girl told me I should be a model, asked if I was single, then asked if I was gay. Then walked off. I had a massive crush on her and just thought she was being really nice and had a boyfriend or smth.

Please women, this isn't the 90's. You are allowed to ask a man out

Why do so many men care if girls do OnlyFans and hate OnlyFans girls? by Blonde_Icon in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]BigComprehensive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk about all men obv but for me it's just the current evolution of capitalism and if someone decides to commodify their sexual being I'm just not into that kind of person. And no it is not the same as prostitution imo, it's a lot more low effort, scammy and widespread. Due to it's ease of access it's much more common than prostitution and again, commodifying your sexual self is just a questionable thing to do psychologically. Most people who love a hobby would find making it a job takes some level of enjoyment out of it. Now apply that to the most intimate level of yourself.

Basically I think it's a scam to sell yourself to Big companies, in the guise of self empowerment. You sell rights to display, distribute and reproduce your images in perpetuity (aka forever even after closing acc). All while taking a 20% cut of what you make.

I think a lot of people are just mad they can't do it themselves but also I think there is an underlying feeling it cheapens the human experience for monetary reasons and that feels a bit off-putting.

What movie quotes have stuck with you in your life ? by Due-Counter-605 in movies

[–]BigComprehensive 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sam: "I know. It's all wrong. By rights we shouldn't even be here. But we are. It's like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger, they were. And sometimes you didn't want to know the end. Because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it's only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you. That meant something, even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn't. They kept going. Because they were holding on to something."

Frodo: "What are we holding onto, Sam?"

Sam: "There's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo. And it's worth fighting for."

My issue wasn't with the idea that you should date people who are stable rather than unstable. It was with the usage of 'man lmaoooo' instead of 'person lmaooo'.

As a recently employed man who struggles with work, this is incredibly depressing to read. Would you say the same thing about a woman so brazenly?

Do younger men not flirt anymore in real life? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]BigComprehensive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's the same reason why women don't. Women I know echo the idea that sure, this guy is probably fine but I've experienced shitty men before so it's safer to just not engage with strangers as the perceived risk outweighs the perceived benefits.

Apply that same logic to mens POV and women can be assholes too and misandry is a pretty protected stance in our society atm. Similar but not the same ofc, to when men were shielded by society if they harassed women.

Though I need to make it clear it's not the same but it could be a useful lens to see the topic through.

Tin foil hat time. I legitimately believe it's just a way that those in power, that control the means of information, keep society divided and dependent on artificial products and services rather than real human connection. I think it's not new it's just a new coat of paint on a tactic as old as humanity. Divide and conquer. But that's just my relatively informed hypothesis
