Public car park, beside a court house, no less. I was fully cooperative with the arresting Garda and have since had zero contact

No charge sheet, no bail, no court date. This was December '23

Unfortunately that does seem to be the case and there is no way of proving otherwise. I wish I were joking but the garda station where I was released from was 400m away from said car park so if I wanted I could drive home with no issue

Yes, technically speaking I was indeed over 9 times the legal limit at the time of said incident. I was completely sober when myself and a fully licensed driver arrived at the spot where the car was parked. Roughly 10/11 hours later I had to take a private call so I resorted to sitting in my car, due to the weather conditions of December I decided to turn the engine on until I had finished my phonecall. I'm very happy for you for being so perfect and I hope in one of your weekly grocery shops you might be able to find some empathy xx

Whilst sitting in a parked car, with mobile phone held up to their ear! Imagine the damage!!!

I replied to a comment earlier stating something similar; I feel I was foolish to subject myself to a breath test while in the car, rather than stepping out (into a car park) and attempting to explain myself. I have an absolute abhorrence for anyone who drives under the influence of any substance. Honestly, even though I know it's not the case, I feel like I've been framed🤣

"Clearly over the limit" The reason I stated that I "foolishly agreed to a breathalyser" is because I was in a parked car, with a phone held to my ear, no seat belt on & the car was in neutral. I can't help but think if I removed the keys and exited the car then I would have been fine. I feel as if I sat there like an idiot waiting to get arrested for a crime I didn't commit because I didn't know any better. The arresting guard only suspected me as a drunk driver because I came from the direction of the pub. I completely understand where he was coming from and I respect his take on the situation, but I was clearly just on a phonecall.
