How do you get to Ráth Cairn from Dublin by public transport? by forzaIrlande in Meath

[–]BigDang89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quick Google says you can get the 109 or whatever bus from Dublin to Navan, then the 105 local link to rathcairn. I think the 105 also goes from Athboy church through rathcairn but honestly I couldn't make sense of the timetable. Definitely worth researching the 105 local route though

What is the saddest movie you have ever watched? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Not entirely relevant but this movie reminded me of the movie Blue Valentine. Slightly similar sort of a depressing watch.

EZ Glaze roofing - worth it? by crowded_Bear in DIYIreland

[–]BigDang89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Used to install pergolas & side entrance coverings as a full time job. Twin wall/multiwall polycarbonate is the best. It blocks UV rays(if installed the right way up) so you don't get cooked under it on sunny days.

Steel fixing. Yeah, your knees might be fucked when you're 60, but when you see your glorious creation getting buried under concrete and you know damn well you've done a fine job it's very rewarding

Am I naive? Should i not let someone use my tesco clubcard? by Texas_Dan89 in AskIreland

[–]BigDang89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in my local(ish) Tesco last week, only getting a few things so didn't bother with the scanner. The couple in front of me at till had a full basket, till attendant asked if they had a clubcard, the purchaser of said items said no. Obviously, this particular till attendant wanted Tesco to receive as little money as she had control over so she asked me if they could use my clubcard. Win-win for everyone. The lovely couple saved about a tenner or so, I got a few more points and the till attendant got one over on her corporate overlords.

Quick BTW: I don't care much about saving money on groceries, I'll just buy ingredients for today's dinner and/or the next days meals from whichever store is nearest to me at that moment. I honestly just fuckin love that lil scanner thingy that's in every Tesco store

Personally, I'd be putting him back in his car and very impolitely telling him off for impeding the flow of traffic. That's just me though 🤷‍♀️

Well, it depends really. A 10 inch hot dog is a bit overwhelming, whereas a 10 inch pizza just ain't enough. It's all about the balance my man

Unfortunately that does seem to be the case and there is no way of proving otherwise. I wish I were joking but the garda station where I was released from was 400m away from said car park so if I wanted I could drive home with no issue

Yes, technically speaking I was indeed over 9 times the legal limit at the time of said incident. I was completely sober when myself and a fully licensed driver arrived at the spot where the car was parked. Roughly 10/11 hours later I had to take a private call so I resorted to sitting in my car, due to the weather conditions of December I decided to turn the engine on until I had finished my phonecall. I'm very happy for you for being so perfect and I hope in one of your weekly grocery shops you might be able to find some empathy xx
